Just returned from 2 weeks of a brilliant stay at Yakinthos Hotel. First impression: Lovely greeting from the young lady on reception (apologies I have completely forgotten everyone's name); welcome drink of orange juice on arrival. Booked a safe (2 euros per night); she said air con is 5 euros per night but due to room location we wouldn't need...

Nice breakfast but could do with more seating. Room clean and big enough. Good to see a net over the balcony door to keep out mosquitos and a black out shutter. We asked for a mattress protector which was delivered immediately and should've been on the bed anyway. Good restaurants near by and close to the beach. Just wish they'd...

Myself and my family have now stayed at the Yakinthos hotel many times and we are never disappointed. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Everywhere is clean and comfortable and well maintained and it has a great location. Our room this time had a lovely, large balcony with both sea and pool views. Very pleasant for relaxing with a...

My wife and I recently stayed for 10 nights in this little gem of a hotel. The hotel is within 2 minutes of the seaside, and only a 10 minute taxi ride to the Centre of Chania. There is also a regular bus service passes by the door every 15 minutes or so. It is situated close top many restaurants,...

We booked a reservation at this hotel for 8 nights. This hotel is placed at a great location, just a few minutes from Chania town, close to bars, tavernas and supermarkets and very close to a great sandy beach. Thanks to its location, we were able to visit the best beaches on the island. Our room was cleaned every day...

We stayed for 6 nights in this nice little hotel, better than other 3* hotels. true, the room and especially the bathroom were small, but for 2 already used to living together is enough. one of the best breakfast in greece, with fresh orange juice offered every day. just minutes away on foot from the best beaches around chania and...

We have visited this area of Crete on and off since 2000, although have had a break for a couple of years as we felt the Western Crete we had grown to love was slowly being taken over by the all-inclusive package industry. This year we returned after reading the many reviews about Yakinthos and it certainly didn't disappoint. To...

We stayed for a week from 12th July. I was with my elderly mum and we were given a room on first floor close to the lift. Lovely spacious room, walk in shower air con and all the little extras. Rooms were cleaned every day with fresh linen and towels. Balcony overlooked the good sized pool, plenty of good quality...

What can i say that fully does this little gem of a family run hotel justice? I have waited over 2 weeks after I returned home so that I could get some perspective. Firstly the staff were absolutely outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and the little things were done with a minimum of fuss, like the special order of...
