Travelled for 1 week In August with my elderly parents and a friend , couldn't fault anything with the hotel , rooms spotless , greeted on arrival with fresh orange juice , suitcases taken to rooms for us , great selection off food for breakfast...More
Good hotel, good breakfast, close to some very nice beaches.
You can take a bus for 1.5 euro to Chania daily if you wish to do so.
We found the staff helpful and kind and always eager to answer questions.
We stayed here for 10 days and were not disappointed. The greeting we received when we arrived was lovely with freshly squeezed orange juice given us. We were shown to a large, very clean room with a balcony. We were road side but weren't bothered...More
A very cosy hotel that seems to be run by a family. The staff was nice and the breakfast was good too. The pool area was good enough and the wifi ok. The location to the beach was perfect and buses to Chania went every...More
We came to the Yakinthos with fairly low expectations. Crete has its share of quite swanky five-star hotels so we were unsure what awaited us.

It's about 15 mins from Chania Town by bus - you can get the number 21 or 15 bus from a stop walking distance from the hotel, they run approx every 15-20 mins! Tickets only €1.20 from the shop opposite the hotel - more expensive to buy on the bus itself. Buses seem to run fairly late, but we only got them around midday so can't speak from experience there. I think timetables are available online.
I've just returned from a stay here and whilst I didn't eat breakfast outside, I saw that some people had opted to take their breakfast out to the pool, which is right next to the breakfast room.
