Just got back from the Yakinthos and have to ask what more could you want? Great hotel, great breakfasts and clean and tidy. Maria and Nikki were as helpful as you could expect and sorted funtrain trips and tickets for Chania for my wife and I trouble free. There was no hassle for sunbeds although quite a few where in...

We stayed here last year and had such a great time that we came back again this year and brought my wife's parents. It's the first time we've ever been back to the same holiday destination - that's how good this place is! I've never loved a hotel quite so much. The staff - especially the manager Maria - are...

My family and I recently spent a wonderful holiday at this hotel. I loved everything about it, from the rooms, to the outlay of the premises, the close proximity to the beach, the cleanliness, the breakfasts, etc. But, what really made a huge difference was the quality of the staff, and in particular, Maria. Our family consisted of six people,...

Quiet and suitebel for coupels. Breakfeast very good. Nice and helpful staff. Some trafic noise if you have room facing the mainstreet. The say at their website that it is 40 m to the beach, it is more like 100 m. Beach is great.

We booked Yakinthos as it looked cheap and close to Chania, both of which turned out to be true. Good location with lots of buses and very close to the beach. The staff were, or should I say - appeared - to be friendly and helpful. They always had an answer for our questions and we never found ourselves wanting....

I have travelled quite extensively and so feel I have gained a reasonable understanding of what makes an exceptional hotel. The Yakinthos is one such hotel. It is an often repeated cliché that a place is a family hotel. Well this is the closest I have got to that for some time. It is run by people who feel like...

From the moment we arrived, we have been very well looked after. We were served fresh orange juice on arrival and had fruit and a bottle of wine in the room- all on the house. They said they needed us to change rooms after a few days (they informed us on arrival) because they had a better one, although in...

We stayed for two weeks & found this establishment to be very good. The staff were friendly & helpful. The breakfast buffet was extremely plentiful with a wide range of choice & of good quality. Our room was comfortable, somewhat basic but ideal for the excellent hot weather we enjoyed. The air-conditioning was essential but very effective. The attractive pool...

Clean room, bathroom is basic, but ok. I gave cleanliness a 4 because of the bathroomplumbing (water coming out of the hole in the floor when you flush out your sink. According to the personnel it is 'greek plumbing' :-). Do not let it stop you from going here. Staff is wonderfull, nothing is to much! Clean pool, even quiet...
