Stayed here September 2016 while walking the Coast to Coast walk. Arrived to be greeted with a lovely cream tea in the conservatory. Jo was very friendly and informative. Our very comfortable room was in an annex to the back of the main building. We had a short walk to the Blue Bell Inn for our evening meal. Breakfast the...

Lovely. Jo is a first class host with a lovely bed and breakfast business. The room was excellent and very comfortable, Jo was entertaining and made a great breakfast including fresh fruit salad and homemade bread and jams. I wish we'd stayed another night!

We were welcomed into the owner's conservatory with coffee and scones and her two kids were enjoying the garden outside whilst she busied herself with us. It is rather refreshing to enter a B&B and feel like you're actually IN their home. You feel this at Elstavale - Josephine is a keen walker herself and eager to listen to and...

After a very long 23 mile walk from Richmond we arrived a bit leg weary. Our Hostess sat us down and provided a very welcoming pot of tea with scones. Wonderful! Lovely apartment room all clean and tidy. Breakfast good with lots of home made jams. Would definitely use again

Excellently situated on the Coast to Coast walk. We were welcomed with scones and tea. Josephine was most charming and informative. Rooms were well appointed - even with foot spars! - and breakfast was brilliant. A great stay and I have no hesitation in recommending Elstavale.

After the longest day on the Coast to Coast, Josephine's was a welcome respite. The scones with jam and clotted cream were divine. The room was spacious and comfortable. This was the only place we stayed where we had a sofa; I hadn't realized how nice it was to have a sitting area apart from the bed. Hot chocolate was...

A wonderful stay on our Coast to Coast journey. With a group of four, we shared the two rooms in the annex behind the house. They were lovely and clean, very comfortable, and best of all no stairs to lug the bags up. Josephine welcomed us with a cream tea, and breakfast the next morning included a wonderful array of...

After a long day walking from Richmond we were welcomed by Josephine with a delicious cream tea before being shown to one of the annex rooms, a very good size with a wonderful shower. The fresh loaf of bread, fruit and free range eggs for breakfast were amazing - just right to set you up for another day on the...

A warm welcome with a cream tea from Josephine who gave us lots of advice and local knowledge. A light clean bungalow and so happy to not have to carry our bags upstairs!! Delicious homemade bread in the morning and a generous pack lunch for the following day made our stay all the more enjoyable.

Arrived to fresh scones and tea. Rooms were clean and separate from the house. Breakfast included fresh bread and a wide variety of jams. She provided a huge lunch and lots of information about our next section of the coast to coast.
