We recently stayed at this beautiful hotel, surrounded by the countryside. It is very calm and relaxing. We had a drink outside while the kids were playing in the beautiful huge garden. The place and surrounding really amazed us, but what really makes this place unique is the people that work there as they put every single effort in to make you comfortable. We never waited, someone was always there to help. Apéro is so nicely presented, with delicious snacks that were served with. Then the dinner....we rarely tasted such incredible meal. Everything was so fresh and tasty. They made sure the kids had their meals as soon as possible (without us asking). ALL, really ALL waiters are very professional and very kind, including the hotel director who greets you with a big smile every time he sees you. Very welcoming :-) But we were impressed in particular with one waiter who spoke all sorts of languages and who carried his kindness everywhere to share with the guests.
Breakfast is another story: FANTASTIC. So much choice, best bacon I every tasted in my life, best coffee, best eggs. My daughter is lactose intolerant, and they provided us with a large choice of lactose free products. (This is rare to find)
The SPA is very comfortable and cosy, very clean and organised.
The room was beautiful, we had a family room at the top of the building. We were nostalgic to leave :-) The beds were very comfortable, and sheets very soft.
We will be returning soon and can't wait to be there again. Thank you to the whole teaming we strongly recommend this hotel to you!

It is great place to relax. Among it's many qualities, such as an exquisite decoration, comfortable environment, and perfect wellness center, the most important aspect is the efficient service offered. The people working in this place is in perfect harmony with with the elegance of the environment. The restaurant provided me with a symphony of flavors and aromas made as a result of a genuine combination of local ingredients.

It is a magnificent place with romantic rooms, excellent service and great dining experience. We drove up the hill on windy road and discovered the place in fog. We enjoyed every second of being there.

This is a beautiful hotel with spectacular views of the countryside. Our rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast is included and it's excellent quality. Beautiful homemade breads, local cheeses, eggs made to order. There is a lovely terrace with a very nice pool. Unfortunately the pool isn't heated but they never are in Italy. The restaurant is fine but a bit pricey. There are excellent restaurants within a 10 minute drive that are better and more reasonably priced but it's absolutely fine if you just feel like eating at the hotel. They serve lunch at the pool as well. Nice salads, (The mozzarella was actually excellent).

Beautiful hotel, recent construction, set on top of a hill with breathtaking views all the way to the Alps on a clear day. As we were too early in the season, we could not use the great looking outside pool, but the inside spa was nice. Good restaurant with great local wines. Best part was the excellent service from all the staff, always trying to please. Only reserve: not really a hotel for children, more adapted to a romantic get away.

I was there with my wife for a long weekend to stay away from the usual rush life and stay relaxed.
That's the perfect place: location is good, not so far from Piacenza and it's placed on hills with a perfect view. Building is very good and I like so much the idea to get a glass tunnel to go in the wellness area and to have a dinner.
Rooms are quite, clean and with good fornitures (ie devon and devon).
Restaurant: it's good, dishes are well done and presented. Also the service is ok.
I put 4* and not 5* for these reasons:
- forniture in SPA are quite old: I suggest to refresh them (ie: jacuzzi water was not so warm, Sauna was not at 75/80°C and it was set up at max);
- hotel service: should be improved: they used a decanter for Gotturnio :)
Apart from this everything is perfect. We'll be back and it's strongly suggested.

The structure is beautiful, but the SPA is to AVOID if you want to relax!!!!!!!!!!
- cold water in the pool (the temperature measured was 24 degrees, while it should be between 37 and 38 degrees), the attendant found that it was cold.
- Turkish bath that smelled of mold, the smell was so strong that I couldn't use it. The janitor tried to clean it for 2 hours.
- on the micro sauna, I have doubts about whether it is up to standard (I burned my hand, and I go to other saunas and spas very often)
- in general the relaxation area with the deckchairs is cold, you need to have 2 bathrobes on to feel comfortable. It's also very loud, it sounds like you have water pump motors behind your ears.

The point is that if you remove the SPA (which I repeat, is to be avoided), the price of the structure is extremely high.

During breakfast I also spoke to 6 other people, and they all confirmed that the SPA was cold.
In particular, one person's response made me reflect "of course this morning the last thing on my mind is going back to the cold spa".
We all had a laugh :-)

I wrote to the hotel manager, who denied everything... NO comment!!!!!

This is why I write this review:
one is not always satisfied with the experiences one has in hotels, it happens, but receiving an answer that denies everything and tries to make the customer look stupid, this really made me nervous... if the phenomenon who answered me had if he had a bit of sense in his head and knew how to do his job... he would have avoided writing an answer like the one he did.

I hope that this review can also be useful to others and above all, if you too didn't have a good time... write it so as to warn those who are booking.

Fascinating structure, which could give much more if managed correctly. The spacious and comfortable rooms, aesthetically very beautiful. However, the restaurant is a sore point. Very high prices for a service that is not up to par. A price of 28 euros per dish can only be afforded by those who are able to offer excellent service. Instead, the glasses at our table were different from each other, the wine was wrong (ordered a Vermentino from Liguria and a Vermentino from Sardinia arrived). At the next table the dishes were wrong. The dishes were decent but for half the price. If you want to behave like a star and have crazy prices you must be able to offer a service that is at least up to par. Poor to date. It's a lot

I approached this splendid hotel in a fantastic location among the hills of Piacenza with many expectations, in light of very positive input from people who visited it a few years ago. As soon as I arrived I realized that the structure had been reopened a few days ago with new management. I don't know if structural interventions have been carried out but what I perceived was simply the status of the Relais at the beginning of April 2024. In a nutshell I found the following: 1) Welcome: unfortunately it was not perfect for the simple reason that, upon arrival before the regular check-in time, we were given an illusory "short duration" of waiting, the time to make up a room. After 2 hours and some solicitation, I pushed the reception staff to directly check the updated status but I noticed no "fury" in terms of customer satisfaction in attempting to "speed up" the very helpful cleaning staff to give priority to of the only guest who arrived waiting. In the end we were assigned a room, I certainly would have expected at least to see a further little effort in choosing between various empty rooms, the least worst. And instead I found the room a bit sad, not very bright and I still haven't understood if it corresponded to the one booked because there is no clear correspondence between the hotel website and that of Booking.com. Anyway, patience, but the welcome could have been better, with a little effort.
2) Location: simply, as expected, lovely
3) Services and facilities. The structure boasts a beautiful SPA and a beautiful outdoor swimming pool, the latter seasonal but with the solarium available and equipped even in early April on a hot sunny day. This is a very positive fact, the only complaint about the structure is perhaps the too sporadic number of staff. The gym is also large and quite functional. Another problem encountered was the somewhat inconsistent operation of the WIFI, especially in the room
4) Atmosphere: it should be the strong point of the Relais, but we didn't like the choice of lighting, a little too dim with some objective problems (and risks) on the stairs and in other slightly critical points of passage from one area to another (the square where you park and access the structure at night is totally dark). The same goes, as already mentioned, in the room.
5) Restaurant: it was once renowned, we wanted to try it for dinner but we gave up because once again the lights gave the albeit suggestive corridor with the windows overlooking the splendid landscape (not visible at night) a "gloomy" atmosphere to say the least. ... definitely a matter of taste, but perhaps also due to the absence of other diners the location was not inviting. Regarding the menu, I raise another note, as a first impression, too creative and not very evocative compared to the offer of traditional local products (and difficult to read with the play of lights being too soft). Obviously, having not tried the restaurant, I cannot judge its quality... I'm talking about perceptions. 6) Conclusions. In my opinion, the main problem is the sporadic presence of management, especially during the restart phase of a business, with whom I have not had the opportunity to share any feedback. The reception staff, apart from the communication upon arrival, is empathetic and pleasant but the impression is that they have not yet developed the right professionalism to "encourage" full customer satisfaction. The experience was offered to us at a lower price than normal but I would like to underline that the cost of the hotel in the coming weeks will tend to rise as in the old management, so expectations could be even higher. Therefore I hope that there is a desire to receive some feedback aimed only at improving an idyllic relay on paper.
