The view, setting, service, and good were out of this world. Seeing the barrels of vinegar from each side of the families, you felt as if you travelled back in time. Make sure to bring the cameras and an empty stomach!

We stayed here only one night to celebrate a friends Birthday, we wish we had stayed a few days to do some walking and enjoying the area. It was a beautiful setting looking out of the rolling countryside. The rooms were large and comfortable with huge old beams and little window with shutters. It was the Italian villa experience that...

I was a little disappointed in the lack of activities to do in the area but the hotel itself is really lovely. Our room was huge and so nice and the grounds were stunning. The restaurant was phenomenal. All in all, it was a relaxing, romantic stay.

We stayed at Cavazzone in conjunction with a stay at the Sidoli family's other facility, Hotel Posta in Reggio Emilia. We had visited Cavazzone in 2011 while staying at Hotel Posta but only for lunch and a tour of the balsamic area. This agriturismo is located in a beautiful setting and features a few well appointed apartments and an excellent...

We arrived from another 'balsamico artigiani produttori' earlier in the day , which made finding this location a bit of a challenge. Our iPad (Plans) had spotted the place a few kilometres off its actual location, the roads are narrow but it was an enjoyable experience being 'temporarily disoriented' in this pittoresque rural part of Italy. Once we arrived we...

My wife and I spent 3 nights at this agriturismo in the hills near Reggio Emilia. It's in a historic farm building with a wonderful acetaia (balsamic vinegar ageing "cellar"). We were lucky enough to get a private tour of the cellar and the rest of the property as well by the charming and elegant owner. The delicious dinner was...

“some rooms have a kitchen but are smaller...apartment 33 is perfect as the veiws are spectacular on both sides..however you do not receive a kitchen with this..only a fridge and tea kettle. Also bring your own large bottle water and bottle of lambrusco to keep in the fridge, as its at a high cost..which is to be expected at any accommodation.”
