I spent a night in Hotel Mayto and had a terrible experience. They had obviously sprayed for bugs and scorpions just before we checked in and the rooms smelled a little funny. They did not tell us this. I went to sleep in the worlds most uncomfortable bed and woke up two hours later with a terrible asthma attack from...

The hotel is very clean, equipped with new towels, comfortable bed, hot water, air conditioning, WIFI, computer on site, cable television, access to pool, right on the beach, restaurant open most of the day until late in the evening, concierge and staff available until 9-10 pm. This is a surprisingly nice hotel, considering it's very remote setting, located about two hours southwest of centro Puerto Vallarata on the Cabo Corrientes peninsula. The hotel includes acceptable rooms, a nice pool, a decent restaurant -- all on the magnificent Bahia Mayto. The beach is quite wide, and deserted as far as the eye can see. I know the...

Quiet location on a fabulous, soft-sand beach. As others have said, the rooms are clean, modest and comfortable; though the bed was a typical hard Mexican mattress. The staff was very friendly and helpful and Wifi was available in the lobby. The restaurant overlooks the water with food that was pretty good and large servings; don't miss the tortilla soup,...

I was driving down the coast when I tripped down the ruff road to find this amazing place! I was in awe at the beach front location , the swimming pool and a great restaurant too! Even a small town just up the road to buy cold beer for your room. I saw a few people come for day in...

We went last minute and it was great. Simple clean room, with balcony overlooking the beach. The restaurant made the best red snapper and saved half of it for the next day for us. Prices were good. we were three and they charged us $500 per person as opposed to $1000 per room.

This was our first time to the Mayto area. The road from El Tuito to Mayto was not as bad as I was led to believe - the 40 km gravel road is more than half paved. The hotel is in a fantastic location. The beach seems endless and there is virtually no development. It's a great place to relax....

The Location is amazing. The pool is very nice and the beach is beautiful. But I had no hot water for 2 mornings of my 3 day stay. The food at the restaurant was just ok for the price. Would not stay here again for the money.
