Our fourth trip with Celina, always on our hit list when we have our Canadian friends down. This was our fourth trip, and our first to stay overnight in their excellent cabins. A BBQ in the evening with a glass of wine around a camp fire just sets off the evening. Anyone who enjoys star gazing will love the evening...

We stayed four days at Hacienda de Taos and loved every minute. Celina and Jose are wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome. We stayed in one of the rustic cabins, which were very comfortable. Meals are at the main house and the food was fresh and healthy and yummy. We rode every day, and Celina was a good...

We have just returned from another magical stay at Hacienda de Taos in the hills of Mexico, south of Lago Chapala. They are rebuilding the road around the lake, a continuation from last year. It is being widened and when finished it will be a huge improvement. It is easy to pass the construction that is underway right now, they...

My teenage daughters and I visited the ranch for a couple of days in February. I don't have a great deal of experience, but I've been to a couple of ranches in the US - Celena's horses were by a wide margin the finest, best trained, best cared-for animals I've ever had an opportunity to ride. Celena and Jose were...

We had a great ride there with some friends. Celina was the most gracious host and as beginners, took excellent care of us. The horses were some of the most controllable and gentle that I've ever been on. None of the "I'm going back to the barn" nonsense. The setting was wonderful, with views of Volcán de Colima which was...

We went to the ranch just for the day. It was so beautiful and relaxing out there. The horses are great, very mellow and very well handled. Celina was a great guide. She is very knowledgable of the area and it was fun to listen to her stories while riding the beautiful hills. We got to see one of her...

We discovered Hacienda de Taos last year and have not stopped being in love with all that it has to offer since. The horses are so generous with their patience and are expertly trained. Listen well to Celina and Jose and you will bond with your horse beautifully. The trails are exciting and never the same, the food is so...

My brother, who lives in Ajijic, and I had the most enjoyable horseback ride on Celina's Ranch, perched above Lake Chapala and overlooking a most beautiful area of Mexico. It is clear that Celina has put - and continues to put - her heart and soul into this endeavor, and cares for a host of animals, including chickens, cows, a...

My 12 yr old daughter and I were visiting Ajijic and friends told us about Hacienda de Taos. What a fabulous place! We enjoyed the lovely drive around Lake Chapala--seeing all the berry farms and villages along the way. This ranch is a real Mexican experience. Celina picked out perfect horses for us...we are experienced English riders...so we needed a...

I am so glad I posted the question on the TA forum for a ranch to visit. Hacienda de Taos was a great recommendation. Selina and Jose made us feel so welcome and gave us experiences that we will remember for a long time. We hiked, rode horses, milked cows and had a tasty camp fire dinner. Getting there by...
