Before arriving we were asked to sign a 2 page form stating we read and promise to abide by the rules. Upon check-in we were told that someone would show up to go over where and how to park our RV on the site. We explained we are already backed in, however we were told that someone would come and check in case we had any questions. Our dirt site was crammed in the middle of two RVs that looked like they were there for the season. On one side of us the RV was a good 1-2 feet in our site and our fire pit was almost under his slide out. I think this campground would be good for people that need a place to park their RV while they boat all day and then come back to eat, drink, sleep. Only 30 amp. Considering the $70/night I expected it to be fairly well maintained. We had the water shut off on us with no notice (except for a note posted outside the washroom, which we didn't use because we had a full service site), it was only off for a an hour or so. The next day the sewer lift station sounded an alarm because the pump was clogged. We had to smell sewer with our morning breakfast. Loud until midnight then would quiet down. Not a kid friendly resort. No playground or green space for kids, beach is tiny and weedy. Resort mostly caters to boaters and restaurant goers not RVers with families. We rented paddle boards and the whole rental process was great.

We stayed in site 37 for 10 days and had a great time. There are a few things to know about this resort. Let’s start with the positive: the campground was quiet, the spot was cleaned up and ready and two young guys helped us park and made sure we were all set up, the showers are $1 for 7 minutes, the food and service was excellent, the laundry was a great bonus, the wifi was decent enough, Terri the manager was excellent and although we did not rent a sea-do we checked around and the prices seem good. Things to know: the spots are small but this is to be expected, we like “across the road” better as its more private, quiet and has more trees, the bathrooms were iffy - people sign off on the cleaning but don’t actually clean (for example the same dirty diaper was in the garbage can for 3 days), there is a strong sewage odor and sometimes garbage odor particularly in the spots nearest the entry gate, although the beach was spotless and private there were many ducks and geese (which likely can’t be helped) but in short order we decided swimming there could be iffy. Overall there were many more pluses so we booked again for next summer. I would recommend to stay in the vicinity of spot 37.

First off the people working here are great. Terri (spelling?) was awesome. So nice and so helpful. I was even met by a couple nice young guys who directed me into my spot. Great spot that is. They had showers and laundry too. Boat and jet ski rentals. The pub has good food and fantastic service but make a reservation because it’s busy. Would I stay here again? Already booked for 2022

We’ve moored our boat there for 3 years.. sadly the new manager Deanna has threatened to make it our last. The owners new gf Deanna is running the show and is the least professional person I’ve encountered. Including leaving a message saying she was going to tow our boat and leave it on a bouy if we didn’t call her back. We miss sandy. She was the best. Helpful, professional, all of the staff have made it a joy and worth the two hours we travel to moor our boat there. Don’t know what happened over the winter but sandy is gone and I’ve been made to feel like a criminal after three years of patronage. I have managed in the hospitality industry my entire career and no patron should ever be made to feel the way we were without a discussion preceding an accusation. It’s a shame really because trying to sort it out will just fall on deaf ears so I’ve been told to leave my review here instead. Sandy! I miss you! And so does our dog Remy

Allison, as a business owner I have an obligation to protect our business and our other clientele in every way possible. As you stated you have been a client for the past several years so you are well aware of the requirements and the contract obligations you have prior to mooring your boat in our marina. Our staff have left several messages, emails etc. and tried very hard to reach you. We are open everyday and answer emails and voicemails promptly. We did manage to speak with your spouse who stated he would get back to us but never did. Regardless, you did go ahead and moor your boat in the marina without having completed the mandatory requirements. Unfortunately it took a strong message from us before we received any further feedback. At Finz Resort we strive to provide the best customer service, facilities that are well maintained and of a high standard and we pride ourselves on accomplishing this. There are valid reasons for each requirement and as of the date of posting this response you remain delinquent on several and our concern for our marina and our other moorage customers remains in effect. We are hopeful that in the future the lines of communication are more open and we can work through this. We look forward to prompt receipt of the rest of your required documentation. Deanna

After a bit of a booking mix up for two trailers to camp, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We were able to camp together, in a great spot with full hookups. Deanna helped us so much after a bit of stress thinking we weren't going to be able to come for the weekend. The food at the restaurant is always great and we got take-out to our campsite. Thanks for a great weekend!

We have a cabin not too far from Finz. Last August we made a reservation for 7:30 on a Friday night, when we arrived we were told our table wouldn't be ready until 8:00. We were fine with the delay (we were actually seated at 8:10) but once we did get our table and ordered our meals we waited almost another hour and 1/2 for our food! Our Server did apologize to us but no one in management said anything or tried to compensate us in anyway. We were not the only patrons experiencing this kind of delay, it was definitely the theme of the evening.I realize that August is the very height of the season but still, make sure you have adequate staff or don't take so many reservations. Once we got our food it was adequate, but, if you are going to make people wait that long to eat (almost 2 hours from the time we arrived) then the food had better be sensational.

Stayed at Finz in July of 2019. Camped in the campsite which looks at little cramped upon entering, however, once we were parked we found the campsite to be spacious, the washrooms were spotless, and the staff are always close by to offer assistance. Folks in a motorhome came, and the boys working offered to help them park and launch their boat for them so they could settle in quickly and more easily. We were welcomed by the caretakers, the store has lots of food, clothing, and souvenirs, and you can walk up to the grocery store/gas station in less than five minutes and find everything you need including fresh baked goods, and a large deli. I loved being able to cross the road and be right on the beach as well as to enjoy dinner at the restaurant/pub which offers indoor and outdoor dining and drinks right on the water. We rented a boat for the day as well as a sea doo for a couple of hours, and found the equipment in top condition and the rental rates very reasonable. The water was warm and clean and fun to play in. I definitely got the "resort" feel here vs just another campsite. There is something about this place that will having you wanting to return. Thanks Finz!

We ride over to Finz by boat . It’s a great dock to get gas and then have an amazing lunch or dinner.. Service can be a little slow at times . Reservations are highly recommended.. The food is good and plentiful.. It is the best place to boat to in Shuswap lake .

I strongly don’t recommend this place for boat and jet ski rental at all. We rented a jet ski about a month ago which was very very unstable from the first minute. I was riding back toward the deck with 5-10km/h speed that a tiny wave flipped the jet ski. They told me that they should show the jet ski to someone to change the engine oil. A week later I noticed that they have charged me for 800$!!!! The price which is not reasonable at all for this accident. I live in Vancouver and I have tried jet ski in ocean for many times. First of all, they are much more stable and it is almost impossible to flip them. Second, the maximum they charge you for flipping a jet ski is 400$. My girl friend called Finz and asked them to at least send us the invoice but they have not sent us the invoice after almost a month despite the fact we called them for a couple of times. I think they overcharge people for that and for some reason they avoid to even send the invoice of the repair. I definitely never get back to this place. They told me that we are not going to skin you for flipping the jet ski but that is exactly what they do yo people. I am a leader a big outdoor group in BC and definitely I don’t recommend this place to any of the members of our group or my other friends!

Hi Mohammad, I have been considering my responses to the various social media platforms that you have decided to post this message on. I find it very interesting that it is becoming common for this type of thing to occur given that it is so easy for someone to go online and access social media to voice any opinion with virtually no repercussions. The only intended purpose I can see from your social media campaign is to harm our business, in turn forcing business owners such as myself to respond in as professional a manner as possible while attempting to maintain neutrality and lesson the blow to our business. In this instance we are not at fault, you were the one that damaged the equipment and you are not happy with the consequences. The cost to you is far less than the cost to our business (we have had recent additional costs directly attributable to your incident), loss of revenue, administrative costs, etc. Everyone single member of the Finz Resort and Bar and Grill workforce works tirelessly to ensure a positive experience at our resort and the 10's of thousands of happy customers are proof of that. I wonder if you take the time to go on every social media platform to post about good experiences?
