Our issues: Rv we rented was already occupied on check in. Moved to a subpar rv. Nothing was as advertised. Kitchen said to be fully stocked but didn’t have wine glasses or bowls for salads to name a few. Said to sleep 6 to 8 people but only enough supplies for 4 people maybe. Paid extra for our dog and the bunkhouse. Had to ask continually for more supplies as it wasn’t well stocked. Bbq tank empty upon our arrival. Bunk bed mattress very hard. No updates or maintenance done on the rental. Deck unsafe for kids. Had to dispose of our own garbage. At times throughout the day sewage could be smelt at our site. We are not picky people but for the price we paid and what was advertised, we expected our rental to be well looked after.
We overall enjoyed our stay at Blind Bay Resort. The campsite was a good size and close to laundry and the pool. The Wi-Fi works pretty well, and we were just a three minute walk to the beach. The pool ended up being a big hit with our son though! We were about 25 minutes from Salmon Arm so we went in almost daily for activities. For some reason before we arrived, I thought that the campground was on the beach, but it’s across the road. The road is pretty busy, so with our toddler we just had to be extra careful.
We were travelling with family in our rv's and spent 2 nights at the RV park here. Nice and clean with an ocean view and full hookups. A nice dock if you are a boater and the prettiest scenery around. Close to amenities. I would go back for sure.
Our RV site was on the 3rd tier from the bay, full hook-ups and had a great view. we only needed a little get away and enjoyed our stay. great place if you have water toys. the sites are clean, very big and quiet. The sites are big enough for a large bus, tow car, extra car and boat trailer. If have a motorhome you will need a tow car to get around in. I think $75.00 per night is a little high for my pocket, but it was nice and they do have less expensive sites if they're available. Blind Bay is a well kept secret. Enjoy
Rachel went out of her way to make sure we had a spot for the July long weekend. We reserved at the last minute when we found out my sister/husband and their friends were at the resort. We really appreciated Rachel's efforts to ensure we were close to each other. We were all located on the lakeside with a tremendous view of the lake. The sites are very large, with level gravel sites that are very clean. The roads are paved,Wifi is free with a very strong signal, an Indian Restaurant and pool are onsite. You can get a cable box from Rachel as there is cable hookups on the lake side. Richard, Harry and Rachel are such good Ambassadors for this well maintained park! We highly recommend this park not just because of the large sites but more because of the Managers. Thanks again to you all!…
We got a campsite across the highway from the water, and it was a 10 minute minimum walk from the site to the beach. 2 of our travellers paid for what they thought was a cabin but was actually a small shipping container with a tiny bed and no bathroom! Our site was nice but very difficult to get a 27 Ft. trailer backed into. The staff did give them a nicer trailer - type home to stay in for a discounted price, which is why I gave it 3 stars, but the wifi did not work, and because of the long walk and type of site I was a little thrown off!
What an amAzing trip. Loved the water. Can’t wait to do it again. Loved the little village. And all the mountains. Such a quaint little place. Wish we had more time. And money. To be able to explore more.
The RV Resort itself is very nice - paved roads, level concrete pads with grass and gravel patio, and hedges at every site to provide some level of privacy. FHU includes good power (30 and 50 amps), decent water pressure, and lots of TV channels from the cable. The roads are on the narrow side but nothing to worry about. There is a warm pool, showers, and games room. All in all a good clean sort BUT this resort is mostly occupied by full time owners and only the few that backs along the very busy Balmoral Road which I believe the locals use it as the 1/4 mile drag strip are available for visitors. You are guaranteed to hear at least 1 drag race from vehicles or motorcycles with illegally modified mufflers. When there is no local drag race the road is very busy and you do hear the traffic when sitting on your patio or inside your unit. The other big negative, and the reason why we won't return, is that they charge $5/dog/day. Traveling with 2 dogs makes this an unnecessary expense. I don't see what the cost provides given they do not provide doggie bags or containers throughout the resort to drop off the bags. There is a large fenced in dog area at the far end of the resort but it requires very little maintenance given it is all gravel.…
My family and a friends family stayed at the resort in July. We were extremely lucky to get a lake front spot! The sites were huge and very quiet. We had a boat so it was convenient to be able to see it at all times and wake up to an amazing view. Lake was fantastic! Not the best for swimming however they kept the beach groomed. Across the street was the main RV Resort. There is a pool, games room, free Wifi, laundry and work out room. Don't forget the sugar shack!!!! We also got to see a park model being delivered and set up. We were notified by the management staff that there would be noise, however it was still very quiet and the workers were very kind and considerate. We even got to have a tour! We enjoyed our time here so much, we decided to come back next year in a seasonal spot!!! Too bad it is not on the lake, however it is only a short walk! Would recommend!…
This spot has so many positives. Staff were all super friendly as were the seasonal spot owners (this is mostly owned sites and partial campground), wood was a good price, hours were good, laundry was brand new and offered free soap, gym facilities, volleyball court and pool were all great. Overall we were happy. We loved how the sites were perfectly level, had trees and were fenced. They were a great size and we still had lots of room for the kids. The beach is just a short walk across the road which is busy but easily able to cross with small kids as the locals are used to it. There are new sites across the road which could be booked now which would put you closer to the water but farther from the resorts amenities so decide which you prefer. Beach was great for dock access for fishing and boating but swimming area wasn't good. Downside, sewer smell was so horrible some nights I considered going inside instead of enjoying the fire. During the day we didnt notice it at all. I recommend heading across the road to the grocery store/gas station for some ice cream after dinner. Also, the bakery in the Grocery store was excellent.…
