I have recently booked the hotel for me, my daughter and few friends for a short Easter holiday break but some how turning into the nightmare! I have booked the hotel through booking.com tried to ring up for the cancellation just before going into an operation in an emergency matter and been told by the hotel to go through the...

My wife and I stayed in the 'Wansworth' (I think I got that right) suite for a night - it contained a huge 4-poster bed, the most high-tech toilet I've ever seen!, and huge (around double-bed size) Jacuzzi. I had a very good sleep and we had an enjoyable breakfast this morning. Bar prices were a tad expensive (£4.50 for...

I made a recent visit to this hotel to meet with friends. I think that the hotel is better than its three star status suggests, and I really enjoyed my stay there. The food was, I thought, very good. At dinner the food was imaginatively served, fresh and well balanced. I was delighted to discover that at breakfast, which was...

Stayed here for one night in the Normanton room. The weather was beautiful so the view from our room and hotel was lovely looking out onto the lake. Unfortunately the room wasn't so lovely, for some strange reason which I still can't fathom they had placed the TV to the far right of the room instead of opposite the bed....

We stayed here for a sailing event at nearby Rutland Sailing Club. The hotel is in a great location very close to the water with a nice garden and fabulous views. Unfortunately the hotel itself was fairly tired - the bar area lacked any atmosphere and our bedroom was damp with mildew in the bathroom. Showers alternated between extremely hot...

Have stayed here several times when I have business in the area. Arrived on Sunday evening, pleasant receptionist who was only on her first week. Had a room with French windows facing Rutland Water, beautiful view, shame my wife wasn't with me. Few issues with the room, two cups but only one saucer, mould around bath and shower screen, hand...

I made a return visit to the Normanton Park Hotel even though my last visit was somewhat disappointing. This hotel has so much to offer, it is in an incredibly beautiful location, has a high standard of accommodation and the friendliness of the people who work there was lovely. I am pleased to say that my disappointing visit must have...

The hotel is in a beautiful setting on the edge of Rutland Water. We stayed for one night in a courtyard room called Seaton. These rooms are rather on the compact size but we found it fine for a single night's stay. We booked our evening meal in the hotel and were somewhat surprised that we were not dining in...

Booked an afternoon tea at the hotel and was pleased to speak to a gentleman on reception who was interested in our needs and provided the impression of good old fashioned service. On arrival, we were not disappointed as we were greeted and shown to a well presented table in the light and spacious conservatory. The view across Rutland Water...
