We saw a sign for this hotel while driving between Sarlat and Dijon and looking for an overnight stop. We always look for Logis hotels as they provide a meal offering local cuisine which we love. We were delighted to find that this property had beautiful, spacious modern rooms as well as a great very popular restsurant. The owners and... More

We visited the Auberge in August, a month when the whole of France seems to go on holiday. So the hotel was almost fully booked. But the two friendly dogs in the hall, the reception, the room, the staff, the food, the wine, the small river murmuring outside (this used to be an old watermill) ...breakfast next morning, they made... On paper, this looked the sort of hotel we would enjoy staying at. We were, however, disappointed in the overall experience. The modern building where the rooms are situated lacked character, which was a shame as the old Mill itself was charming. The car park is very small and the grounds are not very big at all, although some rooms... More

Nice hotel and clean, especially for French standards. The hotel has 2 lovely pet dogs and guests can bring their own. We liked it, but can be a turn off to others. The hotel is situated next to the mill and we enjoyed our river view terrace in the evening. Nice young staff, breakfast with ok coffee, local cheeses and... More

We stayed for one night on our journey south. The modern well equipped bedrooms made for a comfortable stay and air conditioning at the height of summer was very welcome. The setting near the river is idyllic and we enjoyed our walk around the nearby fishing lake was lovely. We didn't take breakfast as dogs and cost put us off.... More

We booked for 5 nights so had plenty of time to assess the hotel. The owners were very friendly and all week had been appearing on the TV in "Bienvenue a l'Hotel" where they scored 6.5 for the facilities at the hotel. The restaurant was very attractive in the vaulted section of the Mill. The food was excellent with a variety... More

First impressions were good - a friendly welcome and clean rooms. The restaurant is in the old mill - and full of character. The bedrooms are modern and lack any distinguishing features but are well appointed with fridge / mini-bar and tea / coffee making equipment, and good wifi connection. Evening meals offer reasonable value for money, the cooking is... More

This was our third stay at this Auberge and again it came up to expectations we certainly had from previous visits. Rooms are very adequate, much superior to chain hotels at the same price but the real treat is the restaurant. The decor is cosy and elegant, the staff friendly and the food and wine excellent and at a very... More

The couple who run this hotel are lovely, and they work hard. At reception when you arrive, then in the dining room at night. Our room was immaculate, part of a newly renovated wing, with a lovely outdoors area that was close to the river (Wire-fenced off, so safe for children!). Tables and chairs outside - wished we could have... More
