We recently rented the entire campground for our family reunion. I have to say it was absolutely excellent. I highly recommend staying here. It is very scenic. Fishing is great, however, if you want the bigger fish, you'll have to fish closer to the bottom, I found that out the last day we were there. The owner, Brett, is very easy going, kind and was very accommodating for our needs. The cabins are great, they are rustic which is just another way of saying there's not much to them. Brett is currently upgrading the cabins. If I were to complain about anything, and I'm being picky, I wish there was more grassy areas. It's just a fantastic location and we do plan on having our family reunion there again in a couple years, that's if Brett will have us again :-)

Refreshing. Both a statement about what is happening there and how I felt there. This resort has been renamed Wildlings. It used to be Surrey Lake Fishing Resort but has been sold a couple times since Bob owned it until his passing. The current owners are energetic and friendly and are rebuilding this place from the ground up. It is almost to Kamloops (about a 30 minute drive north to Costco in fact), and is just a bit north of Merritt. Driving north, you actually pass the lake and then have to exit the highway onto the Logan Lake exit. You back-track for about 10 minutes on a small paved road (do not miss the left turn, it comes up abruptly), and then take a bumpy dirt road to the resort. The cabins are rustic, but all have power now. There are clean washrooms and showers. The cabins do not have their own bathrooms, but they do have running water in cabin 7 and 8. We had a great stay and absolutely killed it at fishing... My 11 and 13 year old children and grandparents in their eighties both caught a lot of fish. We were there for three nights and were extremely impressed at how much work the new owner did during the time we were there. I look forward to seeing what it looks like next summer!!!
