Arian and Jose made La Casa surf and yoga an absolute treat. Jose offered to rent me his own surfboards and all of my needs (cleaning everyday, laundry, surf board rental) were met effortlessly. I loved the place, the space and the hosts. Be back for sure. Gracias <3 Janne

I have been to Ayampe many times, this is my first time staying here. Everything was perfect, really nice spacious private room, communal kitchen and spaces, little deck to practice yoga in the am, the vibes are super mellow. It's quiet and private, love waking up and being right on the beach to check the surf. Super convenient and easy,...

We stayed for two weeks in one of the suites, which includes a private kitchen - so great to have while traveling. Everything about La Casa seems well thought-out and designed, most essentially: there are just a handful of rooms and suites, and everyone is staying for weeks or months - so instead of a bunch of people coming and...

I stayed at La Casa on my first trip to Ayampe for 3 months and I can't say enough great things. The room was more than accommodating with a private kitchen and bathroom, and there is nothing better than to fall asleep to the sound of the waves every night. I found the staff to be very helpful in many...

I stayed at la casa for over a week and it was exactely what I needed! First of all the rooms are extremely nice, and since you're most probably not sharing with anyone you can make yourself at home. Then there's the view from the balcony which goes straight out onto the main surf spot...this way you can check the...

I stayed in La Casa for two months - I have chosen this place because it was advertised as an amazing place for long stay in an apartment with the terrace with the ocean view, monthly rate looks attractive too. All the reviews are excellent and I decided straight away that this is a place to be. All the impression...

Hi Marina, Thank you for your feedback about your stay. As the owners of La Casa, we are sorry your stay here was not as you envisioned. Normally, Jose and I interact with our guests, have bbqs, invite them to dinner, go whale watching with them, etc. Unfortunately, during the majority of your stay, we were not present as we...

Jose and Arian are amazing people! The rooms are big, the kitchen is big and has everything you need. We stayed for 2 weeks after a few nights in montañita. It was the perfect place to relax after montañita. Ayampe is a very special place and we will definitely be back!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
La Casa is located in front of the beach with spectacular views of the ocean and the lagoon. With lots of comfortable, shared spaces, La Casa is a home-away-from-home for the traveler looking relish in the beauty, authenticity, and tranquility of the Ecuadorian coast. The three-story house has a shared kitchen, six private rooms with bathrooms en-suite, and two private suites with private kitchens and a terrace. Residents of the hotel often book a room for 2 weeks (the minimum stay), but more often than not, they stay for 3 months, or even sometimes for a year (seriously). We often joke with the guests of La Casa that they come to Ecuador to see the coast, the Galapagos, and the Amazon, but once they come to Ayampe, they simply never leave. Ayampe may be a small town, but it has its own unique charm that seems to entice travelers, surfers, yogis, and artists from all over the world. We often organize group activities, such as snorkeling, hiking, whale-watching (July-November) and even karaoke. Guests share their cultures over grilled fish in the fire pit or in the surf line-up and become friends amongst the waves. In Ayampe, La Casa becomes your home and the guests become your family. At La Casa, we encourage you to immerse yourself in this small, coastal beach town where you can practice your Spanish with locals or take formal Spanish courses, where you can surf twice a day or on lazy days swing in a hammock while watching epic sunsets and drinking a fresh coco, or fish for shrimps in the nearby river and eat bananas that actually taste like bananas, and where you can decompress and leave your stress behind at daily yoga. But most of all, we encourage you to soak up inspiration from the beauty that surrounds you here and, until then, your home home-away-from-home at La Casa awaits you :-) ... more   less
