We came back to Villa Asiola after two years. When you come back to a place, it must be for a reason. There are a few reasons. If you like the noise of a holiday resort and/or the touristic hustle, the place is not for you. Silence. You can hear your own thoughts. Like a monastery or a Bhuddist temple....

This place is one of an unimaginable calmness, serenity and beauty, where relaxing comes automatically and naturally. Its owner, the sympathetic workaholic Umberto did a great job in renovating the precious historic villa (from 13th century) and turning it into an elegant understated retreat full of friendly hospitality. After a day of enjoying swimming at the varied coastline or visiting...

We have traveled to Aquileia and stayed at Villa Asiola with couple of friends, as we are in love with the town and the area. And this trip was the utter confirmation of this love again and again :) We have known Umberto, who is the owner of Asiola, from the other time, when we stayed in his other agritouristic...

Spent 2 nights at Villa Asiola in the beautiful Italian countryside. The renovations to this historical villa were lovely. Our room was spacious with a comfy bed, clean bathrooms and a view over the fields. Our hosts were gracious and welcoming. We rose to a delicious breakfast and hot cappuccino each morning. There were chairs in the garden were we...

Painstaking detail to renovations. Beautifully decorated, clean rooms with new bathrooms. Summer residence of Napolean's sister. Owner Umberto and day manager, Jo, are fabulous warm-hearted hosts. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. Jo was a master at making cappuccino at any time of day and Umberto stocked us up proscuitto, copa and cheeses for breakfast and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
... more   less
