We attended our friends wedding reception at the hotel and stayed over for one night. Although the hotel looks pretty standard from the outside, we found it to be nicely turned out inside, with contemporary decoration and furniture. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and our room (No 2 facing fields), although on the small side, was comfortable and stylish. Some...

Dear Caroline S Thank you for your lovely review - we are truly delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us & your time at the wedding. Our Sticky Toffee Pudding rivals the Cartmel classic - and you get a really 'good sized' portion too so that you can really enjoy it. Whilst we are somewhat limited by our location...

We've been to the Red Hall on several occasions, whether for an overnight stay or just to dine and it never disappoints. Our room number was 23 (at the rear of the hotel, 1st floor) overlooking the fields and hills, we even saw a deer on the hillside. The rooms are always spotless and are always the right temperature (my...

Dear Peter S We are absolutely delighted that you enjoyed yet another stay here at the Red Hall Hotel - it really shows that the Teams' commitment to excellent service is proving successful as guests return to us time and again. I too believe that our Classic Beef Burger is super tasty but, as an alternative, I highly recommend the...

We stayed in rooms 19 and 20 for 3 nights to attend a family wedding. There were a few high points but overall it was a poor experience and there is no way I would come back here. Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Every single staff member we interacted with was pleasant and they did go the extra...

Dear MITSUBISHIMK55 We are so delighted that you enjoyed our Annual Ascot Ladies Day event. I couldn't agree more wholeheartedly that our Events Manager, Donna, really does ensure that the planning is meticulous, that the entertainment is spot on & that everyone has the best possible experience. Afternoon Tea really is the best we have ever produced & a glass...

Fantastic day, expertly organised. Afternoon tea was the best we have had, and along with entertainment and live betting we all thoroughly enjoyed and hope to be back next year! The photo area and raffles were great extras that hopefully provided funds for a great charity - Bury cancer support.

Dear courtney9 Our Annual Ascot Ladies Day is always a hit but this year it really was special - a great atmosphere, some fab wins on the horses &, we have to agree, our best ever Afternoon Tea. We look forward to welcoming you back to the next big event (Take That Tribute just around the corner!)

This hotel was recommended to us by people living locally. Everything was run very professionally by very pleasant and helpful staff. A very comfortable ensuite bedroom but the dining room was definitely the star decorated in a modern style but extremely comfortable. The menu was interesting and the food excellent. My only problem which has nothing to do with the...

Dear Lesley M Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review, it is truly appreciated. We agree that the busy roadside may not be the ideal place for all dogs to be exercised (though the walk does provide some excellent views across the village to Manchester in one direction & Harcles Hill in the other). However,...

A short distance from M66 and yet deep in the heart of beautiful countryside. A small hotel, comfortable, and with such friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Dear Christine D, We really are blessed in our location. True, we are situated roadside with some industrial units opposite, but beyond this there is fabulous walking, eating, drinking & relaxing to be had (all starting in our very own restaurant, Oscar's!). Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The hotel was originally a farmhouse and converted into a hotel over 40 years ago. From 1978 up until 2008 it was owned by the Wright family. In early 2008 the hotel was put up for sale and bought by the present owners who took over the hotel and submitted their improvement plans for the existing building. Then in April 2009 the ‘new’ Red Hall Hotel was officially opened by Sir Alex Ferguson. Sir Alex is a good family friend of the owners who was more than happy to nip down one Saturday morning, to cut the ribbon before making his way to Old Trafford for the game. ... more   less
