We stayed 2 nights in November 2016. Our flat had a full kitchen, living room, bedroom and bath. The amenities were new. The bed and linens perfect. The bath spacious and modern. Overall quite large. A couple or small family could stay here for an extended period. Breakfasts are amazing. The town of Zellenberg is central and a great spot... More

I was here with my husband during Easter holidays in 2016 and now I realized I haven't written anything. What a pity!!! This is a gem. It is beautiful. All the rooms are decorated brilliantly. ( I saw them all) After you stay here I don't think that in that area you can find another place to stay unless 5... More

This wonderful "chambre d'hôtes",is located in Zellenberg,a quiet village along the vine route of Alsace. The first thing to notice is its excellent location, in the center of the village, with a free parking in front. Since it is not a touristic place it is very quiet and relaxing. At the same time very close to the most picturesque villages, to... More

Last week we stayed for 2 nights in the Riesling Room. It is a lovely furnished room with a beautiful view, well equipped and spotlessly clean, with a comfortable kingsize bed, a small fridge and coffee/tea cooking facilities. There is a nice bathroom and a separate toilet. Wifi is very good and reliable. Breakfast is always really excellent. A choice... More

This truly was a fantastic B&B. We spent 2 nights in the Muscat Room and it was lovely. It was very spacious, spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished. There were even teddy bears in the room. It had a great view over the vineyards. It was a great location as Zellenberg is very quiet but still only about a 20 minute... More

It's pretty simple, if you're going to Alsace, book Clos Froehn. Martine is a delightful host and her accommodations are top notch. We booked the Rose room; it's not so much a room as it is a presidential suite, with a massive bedroom and a huge sitting area in the turett, both with views out on to the beautiful vineyards... Comfortable rooms and gracious hostess (Martine) who provided a nice breakfast spread and advice on local sights, wineries, etc. Quietly situated at the top of a small hilltop village with no through traffic, but convenient to other busier towns nearby. Easy walk to Auberge du Froehn restaurant, which was great. (Restaurant is not related to the B&B - Froehn is... More

We loved every minute here - from Martine and Alphonse's warm welcome, the lovely Muscat room (with welcome Muscat!), the beautiful views, the delicious continental breakfast with homemade pastries, and the peace and quiet. It was the perfect base to explore the wine route, especially with all of Martine's expert recommendations. Our only regret was having to leave! We will... More

Clos Froehn was hands down the best accommodation I stayed in during my 4 weeks in Switzerland, Italy and France. My friend and I booked the Muscat Room and the Roses Sauvages Suite and they were both perfect in every way. The views across the vineyards to nearby villages are to die for. Martine and Alphonse the hosts couldn't have... More

Zellenberg is ideally situated in Alsace for those who have a car. The accommodations, breakfast and atmosphere of Clos du Froehn is beyond compare and you have only one person to thank for that, Martine. We stayed six nights and should have stayed longer. For those who want more space, the apartment at the top of the stairs is ideal.... More
