Very friendly hosts. The suite was great for us with 4 dogs, very spacious with plenty of room for us all. A relaxing peaceful place to stay, even the dogs relaxed. The bed was very comfy, no problem sleeping.

Such a relaxing, easy-going place to stay – lovely large room with everything we needed and great to stay somewhere so pleasant that accepts dogs. We enjoyed the really tasty breakfast served in our room. Helpful and friendly hosts made us feel very welcome.

The welcome was very friendly and the room was attractive with a beautiful pink viburnum opposite the window. It was nice to stay somewhere with a bit of character, and the breakfast was tasty as well. I would definitely stay there again if I was in the area.

We spent one night at this unique bed and breakfast. Our thanks to the guys who made us feel very welcome (Pet, Ali & Mark). Our suite was clean & tidy, with everything we needed for a very comfortable night. Tea & coffee makings available in the kitchen. A comfortable lounge with TV. A spacious bedroom and warm bathroom all made for a very nice stay. Add to this that the place is dog friendly and we were set. One nice touch is that if you order breakfast it is cooked to order and delivered to your room at a time convenient to you. All in all a nice place, suitable for a one night stay or as a great base to take in more of the local countryside. We’d highly recommend it.

We stayed for 2 nights when we were at a family wedding nearby. We stayed in the top floor Amber suite which was a spacious room with adjacent bathroom, kitchen for making drinks (varied selection of teas and coffee and fresh milk in the fridge) and TV room with Sky TV (TV in the bedroom is freeview) Very welcoming, friendly hosts who offered to carry bags to the room as it was on the second floor. Very comfy bed. Slept really well. Waffle robes provided. Powerful hot shower. Toiletries provided and white fluffy towels. Excellent breakfast served in our room. Pub 5 minute walk away. If we are in the area we will definitely stay again and highly recommend it

Arrived at the farmhouse and given a warm welcome by Peter who also kindly carried our luggage up to our suite on the top floor. Our accommodation consisted of a large bedroom, separate lounge, bathroom and kitchen. Although the farmhouse is an old building is was very clean and nicely decorated with some great ornaments and accessories. The breakfast was very tasty and comprised of good quality ingredients. Our hosts were very pleasant and welcoming. The price was very reasonable, It took us less than 10 minutes to Derby centre. Also they allow dogs and there is a dog friendly pub/restaurant a short walk away.

We stayed at Mackworth House Farm as it is close to a wedding venue that we were due to attend and what a perfect choice. From the warm welcome and help with our luggage when we arrived, to the spacious accommodation, comfortable beds and perfectly cooked breakfast, nothing has been overlooked to make guests stay at Mackworth House Farm a most enjoyable experience. Great place to stay with dog, lots of local walks, dog friendly owners and dogs. Friendly and attentive welcome, breakfast served in our room by the lovely chef. Our room was cosy and clean with countryside views. Very handy for Derby, the dales and for getting to the motorway. We’d happily stay again.
