The estate is huge and in the middle there're a couple of bungalows. There is a British Bunglow and a New Bunglow. The food is served only in the British Bungalow. The cottages are quite clean. The best part is the food is also served on time, made with less oil and it's tasty. On demand, they send a person...

Very well maintained estate and excellent bungalows. The property is amidst serene nature. The hospitality is good. Very good activities like cycling, playing cricket, walking, indoor games etc. nearby sight seeing is also good. Food was also good. All in all just a perfect place to unwind.

This is a beautiful, secluded place with lot of treking routes around. It is far away from civilization but extreemly well maintained. The new rooms are awesome. We were a group of 10 people of all ages and food preferences. And the staff took very goood care of all of us. My non-veg family members were particularly impressed with the...

I stumbled upon this place quite by accident. A relatively popular homestay had cancelled my confirmed booking citing "overbooking". So I was left searching again in TripAdvisor and came across Coffee Village Retreat. Booking was smooth. The booking is managed by a Chikmagalur-based organisation called "Getaway Homestay". The staff were polite and helpful. I did lose my way a couple...

We stayed at this home stay for 3 nights and 2 days at the New British bungalow. The stay was amazing. The new bungalow is a villa with 4-6 discrete bedrooms. The rooms were spacious, with lovely attached bathrooms. The estate manager was warm and welcoming. Food served by Mr. Gopi was really tasty and made as per our requirements....

I was looking for a home stay around chikmagalur and a friend of mine happened to suggest this place. I browsed for it and checked out the picture of the property and immediately fell for the place. This place is a little costly but the location of the property, amenities and services provided by the staff makes it a worthy...

We were two families (3 kids) who visited the Kimmane plantation for 2 days and 2 nights from Bangalore. It was truly a breath of fresh air. We stayed at the old British bungalow and were the only families in the estate, so it just felt like home. The food was local and the choice was limited but quite tasty....

We stayed here for 2 nights in September 2014. There are 2 types of accommodation, the old British bungalow and the new more expensive bungalow. We made the mistake of booking the British bungalow which was very dirty with no privacy since the dining and kitchen are next to the rooms. The bathrooms were untidy and the sheets too were...

Always choose the new bungalow. Avoid the british bungalow. We had a real taste of luxurious living. we could not take our eyes off the beauty and attention to detail of the owner of this soon to be hot destination in chikmagalur. I highly recommend it for a relaxing weekend.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On contemplation, they decided that it was too beautiful a place to be enjoyed or left alone. They wanted to share it with others who enjoyed nature at its best, shared their values for the ecology and who would benefit from its rejuvenating air. For in more ways than one, Kimmane seems to be crammed with heaven, as Elizabeth Barret Browning, so eloquently puts in her lines - "Earth's crammed with heaven, and every common bush afire with God…" Pursuing this idea they added a dashing and imposing modern day structure on a hill lock offering a 360 degree view of the locale. ... more   less
