Hotel was clean and well presented. However the pictures are very deceiving as noted by other reviews. It’s a small hotel with very little staff presence. It’s located at the end of the village. Communication lacks and you can find yourself completely alone especially at the weekend e.g no service for evening dinner on a Sunday night. Breakfast is average and you can avoid fruit salad which was not placed in a chilled / ice standing bowl. This caused an interesting travel incident after we checked out. Rooms are clean and tidy. However the hot weather makes them very uncomfortable. Provision to secure valuables would be useful and also a small fridge to store drinks and keep them cool would also be a plus. The rooms had space for these items.
A few weeks ago we stayed in this hotel. Booking was easy to do, they respond very fast and now we know why. From their website and the professional pictures they took to present the hotel, it looks nice, but in reality you don't want to stay in this hotel and go through this experience. The hotel is located in a street (not in a free green area), where across the street building works are done. The staff is very unfriendly and rude. Although we tried to speak German, the guy at the reception continued to pretend he did not understand us. Although we booked a big room, they put us in a very small old-fashioned bedroom at the street site. There was no screen protection or gauze in front of the windows, giving the many insects a free ticket to enter the room. And with no air conditioning in this 3 star hotel, the temperature in summertime in the room was way too hot, so we could not sleep at all (neither did our neighbours, which we could hear very well), especially since we were given a room, on which the sun was shining brightly. No one in the hotel bothered or thought about keeping the roller shutter down before guests arrive. Definitely the price they are charging for a room to their customers is outrageous, seen the inferior quality and bad service they offer. After this unpleasant stay in this hotel, we continued our holidays in Germany and were so happy to stay hereafter in high quality hotels at much lower market prices. If you want to torture yourself, do go to Hotel Weinberg-Schlosschen. If not, consider a new build hotel with airco in the Russelsheim area, which is nearby.…
This was our first visit to the Rhine region and having read various reviews we elected to find a Hótel away from the tourist hot spots. This Hótel was the perfect fit. Family run with obvious attention to detail yet only a 10 minute drive to Bacharach where you can catch a cruise ship to explore the Rhine in either direction. The Hótel has a very nice restaurant and even though on the first night our choice was restricted due to low occupancy we enjoyed the food. If you're looking for somewhere off the beaten track for a restful stay then look no further.
Had a nice 2 night stay at this lovely hotel. The restaurant is good, the beds comfy and the staff helpful and friendly. I wasn't quite warm enough but they put the heating on for us. I can recommend a cruise on the river Rhine nearby, to Boppard, and a trip up the cable car there. Great fun.
I stayed 3 nights here but unlikely a 3 stars hotel. Hotel lobby as well as all basic room service will be closed from 8pm to 8am. In case of check-out or check-in beyond the time, you are required in-advance written notice to hotel staff, no one will assist you. Although the key is given to you after check-in, you are required to open the hotel main entrance at your own and all lighting are switched off at night. It seems very inconvenience to guest. In addition, no replacement of bottled water over 3 nights but also no hot potable water provided. Free Wi-Fi was limited in hotel lobby only, signal was became weak in your room.
