Gulf Shore Campground is in a good location for touring around the Pugwash area. It’s reasonably priced at $50 a day but they only take cash (no debit or CC). The seasonal campers are a friendly bunch but two of them need to control their large dogs better. One lets their large dog roam and crap all over the place.. it was also there (off leash) the day a bear showed up for its regular dumpster dive. As you can see in the photos people were getting too close to the bear. The sad part is if anything happens it’s the bear that would be shot. They need to be educated on ways to spook the bear off: shouting, banging of pots and pans, bear popper etc.. not standing around watching it and getting too close! I called up to the office and let the lady who answered know that it was down there and she was dismissive until I reminded her of the liability issue if someone gets hurt.. the 90+ yr old male owner came down on his tractor. The next day a guy from the ministry put up an electric fence around the dumpsters - at least they did not choose a lethal option.. this time. On the exit route there are trees that need branches cut back as to not drag across the side of the motorhome. We were in a self contained motorhome so we did not use the bathroom facility (I don’t think there were laundry facilities but I’m not sure). The beach is beautiful and you may see the 3 harbour seals early in the morning,

I am a seasonal camper at GSCP, and have been for over 10 years. The view is amazing, sunsets are gorgeous and the people are welcoming !
This is a family friendly campground, not the Party Place. Quiet Times are respected and enforced.
2020 is going to be another great camping season. July 18 is Christmas...so bring your decorations. August 1, is a live band, and August 15 is Halloween, so bring your kids, your treats and your decorations. We plan to have several activities for children on weekends. Excited for summer ! See you there !

... because this place was so awesome, I kinda hope more people don't find out about it lol! Seriously though, this place is amazing! It has a friendly group "permanent" seasonal residents and a nice family-friendly vibe. Will definitely return frequently!

Last night people were out past 10 at their fires. The rules say quiet time is after 11 pm. This place is so lovely!
