The Camino Real Tikal was a wonderful place to stay in Guatemala. It was off the beaten path not really near civilization. It has a lovely pool and a very good restaurant. The rooms were very comfortable.

Beautiful hotel, excellent customer service. A little piece of Paradise! Absolutely recommend this gem. We were greeted by very courteous staff, the room was beautifully decorated, clean, spacious and full of amenities. It's been a wonderful experience and will definitely come back.

This place was just what you need to get away from everything. It sort of feels that way to , when you are driving there. I think it might be the last hotel on the strip alongside the river. It is well worth the drive.

We made a weekend trip with friends, excellent service, the room was clean and ready when we arrived, good food at reasonable price, commute from and to airport, we did the complimentary boat tour (sunset and noon swimming), nice jacuzzi and sauna and beach where we did kayak sailing.

I visited this hotel 20 years ago and was glad to find that is very well kept, they continue to improve rooms, and personnel are very helpful and friendly. They have many diverse activities one may do at the hotel; we enjoyed the walk at the biotopo as well as the short ride around the lake

I stayed at the Camino Real Tikal for three nights in April as part of a GATE 1 tour of Guatemala and Honduras. Overall, it was a nice stay. As many have already stated this hotel lies on a property about two miles off the main road. (Not that the main road is very exciting) You really don't realize how...

Stayed for 2 nights and the rooms were comfortable with a nice view. As other reviewers have said, the AC unit is extremely noisy but you need to have it on so that is frustrating. The grounds are beautiful and there is a chance to go out onto the lake to watch the sunset which I would highly recommend as...

The hotel was nearly empty and yet the service was poor, except for one lovely waiter. The grounds are nice and overlook Lake Peten yet this hotel has no atmosphere. Even though there were only 14 guests, they did not manage to have our room ready with working AC or a cold fridge. We would not recommend it.

Stayed for 2 nights in a newly refubrished room which was not bad. The bathroom is very small. The pool is nice and they have a nice beach area near the lake. The problem as mentioned is that it is remote with bad unpaved road. So you are traped there at evening with nothing to do and forced to use...
