We had a great experience at La Lancha. The views from the dock on the lake and the staff cannot be beaten. We even were fortunate to meet Mr Coppolla on our stay there which was unforgettable and probably a once in a lifetime event. Anna Lucia, Frank and Tony were exceptional and always went out of their way to...

We stayed here with three little ones and their parents, in the new Rainforest rooms, over looking the lake. This is a beautiful location and exclusive only ten rooms. Service is calm and serene though could be said to be slow. Bar staff making lemonade took an age and also when ordering food, especially for the children it could take...

we stayed here for two nights in January 2017 as a base for Tikal. This stylish lodge offers all anyone would want and then some. The personal service was great and the suite excellent. It comes close to the very high end safari lodges in Africa. Only Coppola wines were offered - understandable since his family owns the property but...

We decided to make la Lancha our base for our Tikal adventure. What a great decision. First of all, the property is wonderful. We took a Rainforest Suite, and didn't regret our decision. Sitting on our balcony was an entertainment in itself: spider monkeys, a woodpecker, an iguana, countless birds, and frogs. The evening sounds are like a meditation soundtrack....

What a great review to read first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee overlooking our beautiful lake. You've said it right, Unbeatable base for Tikal... with the road recently graded and rolled over it makes it a swift in and out for tours, much more comfortable and easier on our vehicles. Indeed our Lake View Suites and...

We booked for two nights the newly built Rainforest Junior Suite at the top of the hill with an amazing lake-view. The room was quite big and very comfortable with lovely decoration. Breakfast was served on our own balcony. We enjoyed the food and the attentive service. You have to try the wine from the Francis Ford Coppola Winery and...

Thank you for your feedback. After taking time off and coming back to read that they took good care of you, only means we are doing something right and that the staff love what they do. Our wines and food are exceptionally delicious as you put it and our rooms are just so comfortable. Jesus Antonio our guide still amazes...

Not for the mobility challenged! Taking the boat transfer across the lake is so much nicer than the drive to the resort. And if you don't think you can make it up the 200 steps to the lobby from the lake, arrange to be let off at the nearest town and picked up in their van, which will drop you...

Dear Corkie, Yes, the boat transfer is amazing!! One of our options we offer when we know there is mobility issues is to offer the round trip Flores tour experience drop off an pickup point being the at the near village. I am happy to know that you had a great experience. We look forward to a future visit. Tony

We stayed in La Lancha for two nights in March'16 & this hotel was up to expectations. Fantastic retreat in the middle of the jungle overlooking the Lake Peten Itza! Except the howler monkeys, the hotel location is peaceful and the setting perfect for a romantic getaway & a good spot to go discover Tikal! The best spot of the...

We spent a lovely 2 nights at Lancha where staff was exceptional, making sure we were having a great time in their beautiful environment. Food was absolutely amazing (fresh fish!) and served anywhere we wanted. I would also add that excursions were well organized with quality guides. They also made sure to pack our breakfast so we could have it...

We stayed three nights in Room LakeView 2. We highly recommend it--great decor, very large, huge private deck and amazing view of lake, birds, monkeys and thunderclouds. Food in restaurant was excellent. Staff were friendly and accommodating. They planned a supreme birding/archaeological day tour for us in Tikal, which was about 90 minutes away. Wifi is spotty in room but...

After 2 weeks of road trip all over Guatemala, we decided to treat ourselves and booked 3 nights in Coppola's jungle lodge as the highlight of our honeymoon. Initially in a rain forrest casita, upon arrival, we were upgraded to their newest suite. Certainly the nicest room we've ever stayed in, the manager had written us a very nice welcome...
