Stayed one night on our way to Prince Rupert and it fit our needs perfectly.
Beds were comfortable, water pressure in the shower was good and as we had an upstairs room and it was hot we slept with the sliding door open (there is a screen) and were not disturbed by noise from road traffic or other guests.
The washbasin in our room was separate from the bathroom and there was a shared use toilet at the end of the hall so getting up and on the road in the morning was easy.
We stayed in a different motel on our way back through Vanderhoof and regretted not staying at the Hillview again.

Give it a chance, but be sure you know how many nights you're staying. I read previous reviews so was very careful when I booked in to state the exact number of rooms. The rooms were generally clean, although the kitchenette plates and glasses coul do with cleaning, as could the windows. Not all rooms have air con. Dogs are welcome in certain rooms.

Was surprised in this little motel. The room was big. It had a good queen bed, a twin bed, a sitting area with table and a kitchenette. I guess a lot of workers stay here when in this area. The room was clean. It had all the amenities you needed. Wi-fi was in each room. I was satisfied and got a good nights sleep.

On check in (kids -14 and 12- still in car) were told to keep them quiet to not disturb construction workers that were partying noisily outside (drinking, smoking pot). Clearly Motel not focused on other types of guests than those workers. This made it feel awkward to stay. Definitely not felt welcome.
Rooms are old, bed not comfortable but admittedly clean.
Very noisy: loud fridge, Hwy 16 directly adjacent, construction workers leaving very early and train racks close by with several cargo trains passing through in the night.

I booked this hotel for work. It worked well for me. I was permitted to bring my little dog -pet room. They were very cordial. They even did a cute little hand drawn picture for me of a dog on my envelope with wifi password.
I don't have any complaints. It is mainly work crews staying. There were places for my dog, and my
entrance was from outside. They have the front desk 9 to 9, so note that.Separate kitchen sink, us full stove, fridge, microwave , coffemaker, d8ses, dishsosp, towels.
Kelly was main person I dealt with and was very professional. I would recommend this place. Very professional.

I booked a room 3 months ahead, paid for it, and the day before we were due to arrive, they canceled my reservation, no reason given. I had to spend an extra $23 to get another hotel, which turned out to be brawl-central. Not a good experience with this town.

Our group stay at hillview motel for 12nights making map for the gas pipeline project.
We wasn't expect small town motel has a large room with the view and full new kitchen also the plenty parking lot.
Seems like full every night But, We have had enought parking lot for our trailor at rear and front.
Our group were stay at hillview motel quite happy with good service,plenty parking and reasobable price with the restaurent beside motel. if you or your company for project in town this is the one we recommend.

Very comfortable accommodations in room 301, which is really a 2 room suite. Nice view of town of Vanderhoof, Good eating nearby within walking distance. Good housekeeping. Very convenient if you are visiting family in area or traveling through between Prince Ruppert and Prince George. We stayed for 10 days at a very reasonable rate.

Easy and convenient location in Vanderhoof, with a lovely view of the town. The owner, Soo, was amazing. Our treeplanting crew (who can be a lot to handle...) was working out of the motel and he was very patient and accommodating for us. He even let me drive his van to the hospital once when I was having an allergic reaction on my skin and had to take the day off of work. Something he absolutely did not have to do!! A very kind and hospitable owner.
