We spent 4 days in August and got very disappointed with both the room and the restaurant. Rooms were small and toilets were old ( tiles from the walls were literally falling off). Our room normally got cleaned around 15:00 and we were told by the staff that the reason was because there were only two people taking care of...

For the last 12 months this hotel has been affected by work on an extension, which is now nearing completion. We stayed here on Jan 18th 2016 and all was well except for parking inside the hotel grounds. When completed there will be plenty of parking, more accommodation and what looks like a large indoor pool. The existing facilities are...

Came across this wonderful hotel by accident as it was the only place that would accept our small dog as we were driving from UK to Portugal. The place is a converted convent so full of character. Our room was well equipped and very comfortable. We opted for the half board option as the restaurant offered an excellent menu choice...

Stayed here on a motorcycle tour with MSL tours, nice little town with some great roads all around it, hotel was typical for a Hospederia with decent sized rooms and comfortable beds. Two nights here with group meals of local dishes was good value, very large G&T's also helped. Great atmosphere in local bars on the Sunday with tapas included...

We stayed at the Hospederia for a night and loved the hotel, staff and town. Amazing value and comfortable bed with a 'pillow library' - unexpected but welcome. As we got a deal on Booking.com dinner wasn't included, and we were offered snacks only in the restaurant which was frustrating, but we ate down the road and had dinner for...

Set in the Spanish countryside in Garrovillas, this place is well worth the detour from the main motorway. Stayed here for 1 night on our way back to France from Portugal. The hotel itself is set in a quiet typically Spanish square, parking available in the square except Sat/Sun when alternative parking is available inside the hotel grounds. Beautifully renovated castle...

Some years ago, we called into this beautiful, historic building to look around. It was our first encounter with the small hotel chain Hospederias de Extremadura. We came back to stay and enjoyed it very much. This was our second stay and, once again, we enjoyed the building, with its perfect position overlooking the plaza in Garrovillas - one of...

Very nice hotel in a lovely sleepy town. Room was excellent, very comfortable beds, and good value for money. However, meal was disappointing, - soup was unseasoned, main course was supposed to be with 'mash', which was more like a watery puddle with pork medallions in it, and that was it apart from a tasteless mushroom and paprika sauce. No...

We've now stayed here twice. In March, on our way to the Costa del Sol, and again in May, on our way back to the UK. We cannot fault it. Our room, we were given the same one each time, is more than adequate for the two of us and our two dogs. It had a lovely balcony overlooking the...

Lovely old building in authentic Spanish location with warm atmosphere. Great a la carte menu - we do not understand the criticism of the food in some of the reviews! Breakfast was varied and plentiful. A great hotel and we would certainly stay again. Poor tv reception on most channels.
