Booked a twin room for my husband and nephew for 1 week. Room was small but clean and beds were comfy. The staff were unfriendly, hot and cold buffet breakfast did not exist. Breakfast was toast and a small bit of cheese. A full week, was paid for, but they left after 3 days. Will not return or recommend

Like many others this is a average hotel where you get what you need for a short stop. It's clean - the staff is nice. - the breakfast tastes well and .... a typical average hotel. A typical average place where I say - yes.... I can come back.

Stayed at this hotel for one week at the end of August. The most important part of this review is the noise we experienced please read 4th and 5th paragraph - entire section dedicated to this. The room and hotel first as well as transport. The room was small but clean. We asked for a balcony and were given a very small area completely blocked off from the sun on the first floor. We asked to be moved to another room and went to view it. There was only one small window so we declined. A worked named Lilo (or something similar) had no english so we communicated via google translate which did the job. We asked another worker with dark hair about moving when Lilo was off shift but she was most unhelpful. The hotel is located near the train station, use google maps for "estacion de cartama" as the reception staff will not help. There are two trains the c1 and c2 that can take you further inland as far as Alora and the other to the beaches of Torremolinos and as far as Fuengirola. These trains are great and cheap, prices according to the 4 zones, starting from under 2 euro one way. I have attached a helpful map. Bus wise - there was one right outside the hotel but we couldnt understand the bus stop signage and couldnt get much online. The trains were enough for what we wanted - beaches and tourist areas. The train to the centre of Malaga is less than 40 minutes and they run regular. The train company is renfe and using their timetable for times and updates is helpful. When you exit hotel (facing the pig factory) if you turn right and keep walking you will come to a decent area with restaurants and shops - less than 4 min walk. Restaurant the opposite side around corner is a great pizza place for Gluten free too. The noise - directly across the road as other reviews have mentioned is a pig slaughter factory. I do not exaggerate in saying this - we will never ever forget the noises from the animals that we heard day and night. It was one of the saddest experienced we have ever had. We are both typical meat eaters and don't wish to be hypocrites but this was unbearable and cruel to the highest degree. We stayed at the back of the hotel and could clearly hear the pigs cries and cannot imagine what this was like for those staying at the front. Make sure you ask for a back facing room not that it makes a huge difference. I cant describe what this was like, our first holiday as a couple and the entire week was spent going inside shutting the doors and lowering the blinds to try and block out this never ending murder noise. Horrific. Unbearable. Heart breaking. Before we left we read a review that mentions an industrial factory. This is not what it is. The website states 25,000 pigs are 'processed' per week. Thousands of individual screams a day. Imagine running your dogs paw over with a car - those type of howls and screams, day and night. If this hotel was elsewhere we would stay again but never ever due to the noise and its not the best for those wanting a tourist Spanish holiday near beaches due to having to travel. 40 mins from Malaga airport. Look forward to reading future reviews of how your stay was!

Fifteen minutes drive from the bustle of Malaga and you are in the small Spanish towns away from the loud tourists! The hotel was pleasant. The staff could understand our virtually non-existant Spanish. The bar opens through out the day and evening. There was no noise from the bar heard in the room. Bar prices were very reasonable. The room was a little dated and in need of a redecoration but it wasn't too bad. It was clean. The breakfast was a buffet with a choice of cold and warm foods, breads, meats, cheeses, cereals. There were juices and coffee. The hotel fronts on to a busy road and there is a building merchants yard opposite. The traffic was a bit noisy in the morning but we were already awake so it wasnt too bad. The roller shutters keep the noise level down
