Excellent location and the staff were very friendly. Some issues though as there was no fridge in the room which is weird for a 4 star hotel. I requested specifically when booking for an oceanfront room however no one responded to my request. There were plenty of rooms available as the hotel wasn’t full. I tried to phone the hotel for two days before going there to arrange something nice in the room as it was our honeymoon and no one answered any of my calls. Plenty of noise above our room due to some sort of renovations which wasn’t mentioned when booking.

My caldillo de congrio was really a shellfish fumee but the bad part was that the fish was raw. The staff was good about it and they took it back and offered to change it, but i said no, so they offered a drink or desert. They were accomodating so all is good, but kitchen needs to be more attentive to details.

small hotel with apartment units in lovely beach town.
We rented a two BR, 2 bath unit for a family of 5. small kitchen pretty well stocked, lovely balcony with beach view. Welcoming atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Nothing fancy but clean and well maintained, stunning views of the coast.

Hotel restaurant is mediocre, but lots of choices in walking distance.

We’ve visited this hotel many years ago. This time we traveled with our kids (7 and 3) and we enjoyed very much. The hotel is ready for
Families. Starting at the room: very comfortable sofa bed, and a small shower which suited perfectly for kids. The pool has a very shallow pool for babies and kids. The restaurant had two options for
Chairs: for kids (elevated) Ana babies (with tray).
Just in front of the hotel yo have a small beach, but I would recommend going 1km north where the stones forms pools and it’s perfect for small kids. You may go walking...
As they are are re-starting, the personal is very grateful for opinions and they really pay attention to all yo might suggest.
They have apartments (with kitchenette) some with sea view (2nd floor and up).
Breakfast is very good, orange juice is from real Oranges and pastrys are delightful. Good chose of products.

Fabulous combination of ocean view sorrounded by green mountains, perfect sunsets, relaxation and superb sea food accompanied by Chilean wines, two hours from Santiago. Have lunch at "El Caballito de Palo", typical Chilean restaurant on your way from Puchuncavi town to Maitencillo South. If you can afford, reserve the third floor rooms with a larger terrace. Arrive on a Friday, it is almost empty and you will have complete privacy. The pool will be yours until noon. The food is better than excellent at their own restaurant "La Tasca de Altamar", you also have kitchenette with full fridge, but your will not need it with such a menu. There is breakfast delivered to your room the previous evening, bring your cereal, ham, eggs and milk if you like. There are several small stores in town. Toilets, faucetery and the odd older piece of furniture did not make justice to such a perfect place, can be improved. Rooms can be connected, but both our neighbours did not make noise at all. Beach walks are wonderful, remember that high season starts January 1st up to mid March. Do not forget your camera, "poncho" for cooler nights, and sleep tight with ocean waves caressing your romantic dreams ....

Expensive. But good location. If it's cold, the living room still has beautiful views and is warm. The food good. It didn't kill me, but it's correct. High price, but good and pleasant location and lounge. Facing the sea in this coastal village in Chile. The service from the girl was excellent.

Excellent service and restaurant, food very good value for money. Nice atmosphere.
Very nice and clean pools.

Room 101, the bathroom window does not open and without an extractor, only natural. Given the size, without a view and without a balcony and the comfort of the room and bathroom, its cost is very high.

The hotel has some small shortcomings, but the friendliness of the staff is so great that it makes the stay there excellent
The restaurant is very good and also very well attended. Cordiality is the tone. The spa and hot tubs are the best

I just stayed three nights at this hotel with my husband and two children, ages 4 and 8. I will start by sharing the good things about the hotel: the location, in front of the beach, you can walk from the hotel to the cove and it is surrounded by beaches that you can enjoy, and the view is spectacular. The other good thing is the pools, both the heated one and the one outside, clean, a good size for swimming and with plenty of lounge chairs. The breakfast is good, I didn't see that they had gluten-free products, but they did have plenty of fruit and pastries. Finally, the room we stayed in was a good size, a huge terrace with sea views and everything you needed.
The bad thing, and that's why I didn't rate it with 5 stars, was the maintenance of the room, at least the ones we had (405) needed a lot of maintenance or some renovation. I also found the bathroom very small and only had a shower.
As a conclusion to share, it is a good hotel, there are not many in the area, the common spaces are well maintained and my children had a great time.
