This email below was addressed directly to the manager and after to Mme Bacquie directly. (sent August 12, 2020). We have not received any response and therfore decided to make this email public: Dear Madame Bacquie, I wanted to share with you my disappointing experience last Saturday at the Ephémère. I already took the liberty to contact one of your staff members on Sunday by phone ( i forgot his name Sorry about that) to let them know step by step our overall customer journey and the reason of my disapointement. When we arrived, we were placed at our Gazebo and waited there that someone took care of us. We waited around 15 min prior behind just acknowledge. I asked (i had to as i was still not proposed) for a menu and a drink list for the aperitif and i was told that there is no menu or drink list and i have to scan a QR code due to Covid 19. When I asked do you have a paper form of it i was told it is the concept so no paper form. I understand the hygiene concern but it took us some time to understand how it works and luckily we were already equipped with a QR code reader. Anyway, i wanted to have a bottle of rosé for aperitif and in the menu i only noticed one choice from Marocco. I mentionned that i would like to know if we could order something else and was abruptly told: this is THE CONCEPT. I kindly asked again if we could have other option from the bar and i received a yes but it will take sometime.... After an another 15 min, our maroccan Rosé arrived. The bottle was installed on a gueridon outside the Gazebo. The waiter open the bottle and served one round and left the bottle outside. We drank our wine and the other waitress ask us our choice on the menu. She briefly explain the Bento box concept and ask us what we want for the main course. I asked if they could do something for my 6 years old niece and she mentionned: " we do not do anything for kids and when you booked you should have been told so....". Again, i kindly suggested that we do not need a" Steak Frite" for the child but asked if they could do something more kid suitable. She proposed the main course "pintade with some semoule" and we said it will be fine. After she left, our glass were empty and i called the waiter for a refill. after 10 min waving at them, behing ackowledge by a nod of their head several times, we were still not served. I personnaly stand up and took the bottle to serve my family and was started to be irritated. We were served one tomatoes caramelised as an amuse bouche. The bento box arrived on a tray. 2 soup bowls: one with Ceviche, the other one with grilled peppers, 5 maki and 2 small balls with humus lentils and pita bread. I asked if we could have some plates as we were told. this is the CONCEPT. I said well we are 5 and even if the concept is for sharing i want some plates as we cannot eat together in one bowl..... After 5 min the plates arrived. We started to eat. The Ceviche and the grilled peppers were good. The Hummus was ok and the maki rice a disaster. The overall presentation was bad and without even a side garnish or anything pretty on it. I asked for an another bottle of rosé. it took an another 15 min and same story. Nobody to serve us the wine, staff giggling around a drinking in the open kitchen so i litterally took the ice bucket with the rosé on the table. The main course arrived. An another bitter disapointement. Both the pintade or the fish looks the same. just put disgrafully into a bowl. both the taste of the pintade or the fish was overwelmed by a heavy tomato sauce reduction. The dessert arrived- was better but again nothing wouahhhh. Same problem with the plates when i mentionned i am sorry that i cannot eat a genoise directly from a serving tray. we only wanted to go. I asked for the bill. an another 15 min and i went to see the waither and grab him by his shoulder for asking again and again. So our overall experience was really terrible.... I did not want to discuss directly with someone on site as we just wanted to go. I understand that you wanted to create something more casual with the Ephemere and a new concept a bit away from le San Felice ou Christophe Bacquie but your establishment is a 5 stars hotel and settings but the experience was truly not. The overall service was a real disaster. The food was far way from the promise " Chef Christophe Bacquié et son adjoint Fabien Ferré: Lobster roll, Buns coréens, Poke bowl... Savourez une cuisine originale et colorée!" I am sorry that i had to right this email to you but I was expected a lovely evening with my family and it was just the opposite. i am looking forward to receive your feedback.…
a long time customer of all restaurants since the opening , including the 3 stars Michelin , i have had countless memorable lunch & dinner , casual or gastronomical . Perfect places , if you don't venture into the Spa , independently managed ; while the place is nice and the treatment professional , the billing is not , and on two consecutive occasions we had unpleasant experiences ; At the contrary ,the Boutique is very well managed & welcoming . It is a magnificent hotel, beautiful bright room but too bad the television is not facing the bed but in a wardrobe located in a corner of the room, the indoor pool was cold at 20 degrees, the advantage is that there is no one in the pool and therefore the 10 seats were empty, 10 seats is little compared to the number of rooms, quality service, exceptional breakfast with lots of choice but very expensive, we keep a good memory
We spent 3 nights in this hotel located near the race track of Le Castellet. As expected, service was excellent and we had an enjoyable stay. The Spa is nice and we had all our dinners at the San Felice and that was excellent too. In short, a real 5-star hotel.
Best Hotel by far in the provence region. Amazing location with fantastic views, nice spa and welness accomodation , great food , good service. This was the 2nd time I visited and I will be back for sure next year.
