Although it's located at the opposite side of Railay Beach boats arrival, it's a short walk distance (we recommend use backpacks instead off wheeled luggage). The hotel is located in front of the beach and has a nice infrastructure, like a day trip tour service...More
We travelled to Sand Sea Resort with our two college age sons. We asked for 2 rooms close together and we were given 2 connecting rooms which was very nice. Our rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff came daily. The pool is right on...More
The room was very difficult to stay in. It smelled like mold the whole time we were in there. We even tried to cover up the smells by putting perfume everywhere but that didn't help at all. The location is kind of difficult to get...More
Nice resort in an awesome location! Nice breakfast menu and swimming pool. For lunch and diner we went to the alley that connects to Raily Beach East, which has a couple of nice bars and restaurants. All in all a nice place to relax!
We first stayed at the Sand sea resort almost 10 years ago to the day as a younger couple on an adventure holiday. This time we stayed but with 2 young children(4&6) in tow and found very little to have changed as far as our experience...More

Hi, we paid around 1500 baht in advance through the hotel (which I would reccommend for ease) this included the pick up from the airport which took us to what seemed like the middle of nowhere to get in a tuctuc which then took us to the pier, here we got on to a longboat, somewhat precariously, this then took us around the coast to the east side of Railway where we were then put on a tractor trailer to shore and then a tuctuc to the hotel. We didn't have a clue what was happening because nobody spoke English, it was quite an adventure but great fun. Be careful on your packing or you could lose anything with all the getting on and off of transport, your bags are passed back and forth over water with the risk of saying goodbye to them.

The only problem with grand deluxe rooms is if you get the room at the end of the resort you have nasty smell coming from some kind of toilet waste recycling room. We had bungalows and yes we have seen few ants because it's on the ground floor. The best thing with bungalows is you get access to hotel grounds as soon as you open door. And they have lovely patio area with table and chairs. You sit on the patio and enjoy sounds of the jungle. Really couldn't fault them and if I get chance would definitely go for bungalows again. Enjoy your stay whatever you choose, it's a great resort on fabulous beach.
