When crowd of Bangkok,Pattaya, Phuket and Phi Phi makes you feel drowned, head towards Krabi, Ao Nang which is a more remote area, hence less crowded. From Ao Nang, you pay about 250 Bahts per person and a taxi followed by a boat will drop you at Railay Beach. About 1 min walk, you are right at Sand Sea Resort Reception. My room near... More

My boyfriend and I went to Railay for three days and stayed at the Sand Sea Resort. There are two coasts of Railay, East and Wear. East has the restaurants and nightlife but west has the far more beautiful beach and they are only about a five minute walk from one another. Sand sea is on Railay West, prime location... More

Every visitor to Krabi should without any doubt, when visiting Krabi, come and stay a few night in Ralay. It is unbelievably beautiful. You are only able to get to Ralay by longtail boat which costs about 100 Baht per person. Well worth the money. The Sand Sea Resort is just unbelievably beautiful and really offers great value for money.... More

We flew into Phuket at 7.30pm, and it was a 2 hour transfer to Sand Sea Resort. The last 20 minutes from Ao Nang was via Longtail boat, and this was a beautiful way to arrive as it coasted gently around the tall cliffs past the beautifully lit resorts. The boat docket at a Rubber Wharf on the East Side,... More

West beach is the location to stay. East Side is a mangrove swamp. I've wanted to stay at Railay for a while now so I also stayed at two other resorts: Railay Village (over priced) and Railay Bay Resort which had the best pool and view from this area. I stayed in a villa. They don't look very private but... More

Beautiful room. Beautiful location right on Railay beach. Staff is not unfriendly but not friendly either so if you're looking for a warm welcome to start your vacation under the sun get one from a tan on the beach. The room was amazing though, very big with lovely bathtub, lots of toiletries with complimentary treats and water as well as... More

We arrived after another month long trip from one side of the andaman sea to the other (Phuket to Krabi) having been told it was a quick 3 hour bus ride. So we arrived both grumpy, fed up and tired. This mood soon changed. Check in was quick and we were escorted to the grand deluxe building (second floor, all... More

When we checked in they upgraded us from a Superior Deluxe Room to a Junior Suite. Our room had a lot of room and was extremely comfortable. Jacuzzi in the bathroom tub (although we didn’t use it). There are two pools on the property. Breakfast buffet was included in the price and very good. They don’t serve alcohol in their... More

we have stayed at Sand Sea several times over the past 15 years and I have to say it is going downhill. The bungalows which were quite quaint are now shabby and in dire need of maintenance, some of the staff are the least friendly and helpful Thais you will meet on Railay particularly in the restaurant. The location of... More
