We were looking for a spot to spend Christmas in Africa and Musango turned out to be the perfect away from home. Steve, Wendy, and their children are lovely people who truly love Zimbabwe and know the area like no other. Instead of snow we spent the holiday looking for lions, watching elephants take a mud bath, and having sundowners...

Steve and Wendy, as private owners, operate the camp as it should be. It is a safari camp so do not expect luxury silk sheets, WiFi and a Spa. The rooms are comfortable and of adequate size. Rooms 7 and 8 have a plunge pool. The bathroom has all amenities and there is always hot water from a boiler. Lighting,...

Not only were Steve and Wendy the most amazing hosts but all the staff are wonderful - warm, welcoming, extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with and the food was absolutely delicious. This is our third time to visit Musango over a 15 year period and the first time for our 3 boys who had a wonderful time -...

We had a wonderful time at the beautiful lodge of Wendy and Steve this October! Steves enthousiasm for wildlife and its preservation mixed with his love for the local traditions and people opened our eyes on how the Zim businessmen can make a huge difference. His openness on how it all fits together combined with his willingness to make it...

Visited in May 2015. The place is tugged away on an island on lake Kariba so far away from the mainland. Everything about the place and activities is great. The fishing village closeby is a must take trip to go learn and hear fishermens stories on lake Kariba; their encounters with hippos, crocodiles etc. Stayed in a room overlooking the...

A slice of heaven and tonic for the soul! From the warm welcome, to the oh! so comfortable lodges with delightful touches like the pot plants in the bathroom, looking up at the stars from the shower and the birdbath outside the room, to game viewing from the pontoon, the fiery Kariba sunsets and the peace and stunning beauty that...

We used this camp as a break from bouncing around in a truck - so it was viewing and fishing from a boat (with Cranos and Crispin) - a nice change, especially as the temperature went up to over 40deg C . Good, well run camp with very friendly hosts Steve and Wendy.

An hour and twenty minutes by speedboat from Kariba Harbour, we found ourselves in a little piece of paradise. Exceptional hospitality from the owners, Steve and Wendy, as well as guides and resort staff. Our group of 13 were fortunate to have the whole camp to ourselves. Our rooms were well appointed, luxurious tented with en suite, each situated with...

A hidden gem in the bush, the real Africa with luxury.. Meals and drinks are incredible and are proudly introduced by staff.. After everywhere we've stayed in Africa I've never come across such kind caring, wholehearted staff!! Our guide Crispen told us many stories and was full of information about the wildlife. Game drives offered early morning and late afternoon...

This is a tented camp --- but what luxuries! including en suite bathroom! The tent, which has mosquito netting at the doors, has both ends open to allow the breezes in; and one lay in bed listening to the hippos 'blowing'. Dinner under the stars was a highlight! The food was tasty & presentation great! Wendy & Steve Edwards were remarkable...
