My wife & I along with our two kids (ages 5 & 9 months) stayed at Caserio Del Mirador two weeks ago and had an absolutely brilliant holiday. We booked the trip on the back of the many gushing reviews we have read here and on other sites and Sarah & Johnny's place certainly lived up to the hype. Everything... More

My wife, 2yr old son and I have just returned from Sarah and Johnny's place and before even leaving had already decided we want to return next year. We stayed in Nina, with our son sleeping in a cot in the living room which worked well, especially as it's so close to the pool. On arrival, there were a bunch... More

Everything was perfect. Sarah and Johnny are great hosts. Sarah is an amazing cook, better than all restaurants i went to around the area spanning 100kms! The room was great, beds were comfortable and the stuff on offer for the kids is amazing. We have a 3 year old and a 5 month old and for the first time i... More

Just back from a week at Caserio del Mirador with my toddler son and couldn't agree more with all the praise here. Hats off to Sarah and Johnny for creating the perfect holiday environment for young children and their parents - we will be back. One thing to add: I came as a single parent, and, despite having more than... More

A delayed review following our stay in Sept 2013. The perfect place for anybody with a young family to really relax. every possible child related requirement has been thought of and is catered for- which ensures a relaxing and worry free holiday for the parents of young children. This is a very delayed review - our most recent stay at Caserio del Mirador was in May 2013, having previously stayed there in September 2012. Caserio del Mirador offers a unique location, high in the hills above Jalon in southern Spain. Its main attractions are the family-friendly set-up (cots/monitors etc all provided) and Sarah & Johnny's excellent hosting. It... More

We knew we'd have a special time but our week at Caserio del Mirador was truly magical. When I woke on our first morning and looked out from our incredibly comfy 4 poster bed onto the views over the mountains I literally teared up a little - it was so beautiful. Luxurious hot showers, funky spotless interiors (and exteriors) loads... More

We have just returned from a week at Caserio del Mirador and I really didn't believe a holiday with a two year old could be so relaxing! Our apartment, Santa Maria, was fab, big and spacious and just down from the pool. Unfortunately the terrace outside didn't get any shade until late afternoon but there was always a shady spot... We had a fabulous holiday at the start of July. The location is beautiful and so serene - the goat's bell is about the only noise you'll here (apart from your own small children of course). If you want to be in the centre of things, maybe this isn't for you but if you want to escape the high rise... More

We have returned after a fantastic week away with our 3 year old daughter, who just loved every minute of her stay (as did we). She was thoroughly entertained the whole time, whether on the trampoline, swings and see-saws, sandpit, swimming pool or feeding the bunnies, pig, goats - or visiting the horses with Sarah. Our daughter loved the kid's... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Child friendly holidays in Spain- A country retreat with magnificent views to the Mediterranean. Discover one of the finest child friendly holiday destinations in Europe. Set amongst peaceful olive and almond terraces in rural Spain, Caserío del Mirador is ideally suited for child friendly, toddler friendly and baby friendly holidays. The family run country retreat is the creation of Johnny and Sarah Robinson and was inspired and influenced by their experience of their travels with and without children. It is a shared home, a place where people can relax and be together to give a warm and friendly atmosphere. The dramatic setting often makes an impact when guests first arrive, the terraces, gardens and grounds give a wonderful sense of space. There are lots of play areas for the children and pet animals to meet. The house is designed to have generous, comfortable family friendly accommodation, and the breathtaking views will give you a sense of magic the moment you arrive. We love Spain, the people, the food, the landscape, the Mediterranean and of course the beautiful weather. It is perfect for holidays with babies and toddlers and in the cooler months walking amongst what must be one of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe. We welcome you to Caserío del Mirador, where we hope you will discover for yourself why this is such a special place to stay. ... more   less
