Sant Llorenc is a tiny walled village, surrounded by little garden plots, set on a river at the foot of beautifully wooded hills topped by an ancient tower. The setting is unbelievably beautiful, and, at its center, is the Torre Laurentii Hotel which opened, I believe, about five years ago. Stephan, originally from Miami, and his wife, Cristina, a Catalan,...

We paid 180 euro for a superior double. Village is lovely but church bells ring throughout the night -and we weren't able to sleep through all of them. Room was big but lacked comfy chairs/ sofas. Windows faced courtyard / walkway that other guests used to get to their rooms. Our room was dark but opening windows and curtains then...

The Torre Laurentii is located in the beautifully maintained village of Sant Llorenc de la Muga. A gorgeous clear stream complete with an old working waterwheel runs through the village, waterholes can easily be reached on foot. The location of Sant Llorenc was pivotal to our decision to stay here. We managed to do incredible day trips and you simply...

My wife and I just retrurned from our fantastic 2 weeks in Catalonia and one of the highlights was our 4 days in Saint Llorenc de la Muga at Torre Laurentii. What a completely wonderful experience! The beautiful property was skillfully and lovingly restored over several years under the direction of one of our hosts, Stephan. What a place! Our...

This is a gorgeous small hotel in a sleepy town in the hinterland of the Pyrenees in Catalunya. The owner Stefan is originally from Miami and is the perfect host. Stefan's wife Christina is the chef and the food standard is excellent at both breakfast and dinner. They are serious about cuisine and wine. Stefan is very helpful when it...

I don't know how to describe what a wonderful time my husband and I had at this hotel! First off, it is situated in this adorable medieval village about 15-20minutes from Figueres. The location of the town is a great because you can easily get to all the attractions and coastal towns. We spent about 4 nights in Barcelona, then...

We were looking for a great week in Catalunya, and were hoping that all of the wonderful reports about Hotel Torre Laurentii would prove true as we left the Barcelona airport... In less than two hours from Barcelona we entered the beautiful medieval town of St. Llorenc dela Muga and found a rustic yet elegant 17th century hotel. Our suite...

Set in the quaint and quiet little town of Sant Llorenc de la Muga, Torre Laurentii is PERFECTION. I cannot adequately express how much we enjoyed our stay at this hotel, our only regret was that we could not stay longer. Stephan (did I spell that right?) was an amazing host; suggesting day trips, recommending wine and in general such...

This is the first review I have ever written and I am writing it because I am so grateful to those who went to Hotel Torre Lauentii before me and wrote such positive reviews on Trip Advisor. From the moment we arrived it was clear that Stephan knows everything there is to know about customer service. Within minutes we felt...

A perfect place hidden in a beautiful rustic village, Torre Laurentii is one of the finest places to stay at period, and worth traveling out of you way to do so. My wife and I had the pleasure of staying with Cristina and Stephan for 4 nights in May , and we are sorry it wasn't; for longer. We stayed...
