We stayed for 2 nights in October. Gil (owner) was very helpful and friendly. Rooms are basic but comfortable and the setting is lovely. If you'd rather be outside in the desert than in one of the bland, impersonal hotels at Neve Zohar or Ein Bokek, choose Shkedi's.

Great place and great owner. You will have a choice between the lodges (wood huts) and heavy duty tents all equipped with AC or heating (winter). You will have access to a very well equipped kitchen where you'll cook yourself a great dinner or breakfast. The makolet (little super market) is not far from the camp and you will find... More

It is a simple, but lovely place. It offers all you need from a camp-lodge with a large communal area, kitchen, bar and hammocks. Gili, the owner, makes the place special with his hospitality and friendliness. We stayed in an old, converted bus and loved it. Don't go there if you want a squeaky clean 5* hotel room and spa... We stayed at the honeymoon bus which was very cool , good atmosphere and very cosy. Gili the owner very helpful and makes you feel at home from the first moment. All facilities nice and clean, good for families too like us. Relax and layback spot between the Dead Sea to the Arava valley and not far at all from... More

Spent 2 nights here in March with the purpose of visiting the Dead Sea and Ein Gedi. Stayed in a shared bathroom cabin; it was lovely and very clean. Beds were alright. The shared bathrooms worked well and were clean. There is a shared kitchen where you can cook - no food is served at the place or nearby. There... More

Thus is the perfect down to earth experience. Great facilities, beautiful place and a very friendly staff. This is a great place to go during the fall, winter and early spring. Ask Shkedi about excursions in the area, he's an expert. Bring mosquito repellant because they come to visit in the evening.

My mountain biking group stayed here one night while biking through the Arava. Skedi, who owns the inn, has established an exceptionally friendly and laid-back inn composed of large tented sleeping cabins with dormitory style sleeping accommodations on foam mattresses (bring your own sleeping bag). There are also smaller cabins for couples or larger groups, as well as a bus... More

Cosy, warm, great atmosphere. No bunks in the dormitory but comfortable matrasses, always good music in the bar but never too loud, friendly owner. big kitchen with everything you need, bar with everything you need :) It's better if you have a (rent) car because it's a bit far from the Dead Sea and there's not a lot to see...
