This is my second time staying at Bara Beach Bungalows. It's located at the best part of Bara Beach where the sand is incredibly soft, perfect for sinking your toes into. It is also one of the few resorts here that has air-conditioning in the rooms - for some, this is a holiday necessity. The staff are very friendly and...

If you looking for a perfect place to stay around bira then this is it. Private beach for us to enjoy. The sand is white with blue shallow beach. You can choose your kind of breakfast, and with the scenery, it was perfect. You can ask the attendat for arranging a boat to cross to lihukang island for snorkling. That...

Definitely will return. Well done👍. Discovered because nearby place was actually still under construction😡. Superior quality here. Staff English is much better than average👍. Dinner, breakfast, WiFi under installation, fine white sand beach on East Java Sea.

We stayed here for one night recently and it was fantastic. We turned up on the day despite having a reservation elsewhere. They matched it and we were glad we stayed. Great service all round, good food, delicious breakfast, and the view! We were lucky to get the room nearest the beach, and it was superb. Welcome drinks too! Definitely...

A group of nice bungalows in a garden by a long white-sand beach. The rooms are spacious, with good air conditioning. The bathroom is basic, no hot water but if you take a shower during the day when it's sunny the water is warm enough. No TV, there is a screen and they have DVDs. There is also a small...

I stayed there for 5 days from 8-12 Aug 2016. The resort is pretty difficult to find especially when you come with local driver from Makassar. It's located 3.6km from the infamous Bira Beach. So please have a signage put so guest won't be confuse. From the outside, it doesn't look like a well maintained resort but we are wrong....

I stayed for 4 days here and got room with sea view and near to their restaurant. I want to get the No. 1 room as nearer to the beach but it doesnt matter as it been reserved for sweet old couple(they deserved that). The food delicious, spacious room and friendly staff. The staff willing to take me to other...

Great staff, very helpfull, clean rooms, great food for a good price. The best place to relax, snorkel and dive. Rent a boot for one day with skipper: 350000rp. About 25 euros. Diving with padi 400000rp (28 euro). Without 750000 Rp (52euro). I will sure come back here. In the end of this year the owner will renovate the bungalows...

Been there last year with my hubby in November. Last week we spent 3 nights there with our family (9 persons). Stefan read our review of last year and he did something with our tips. Our stay was superb! We enjoyed everything. Next visit will be at least for 1 week. Stefan is a superhost, the staff does everything to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
You'd like to make holiday like Robinson Crusoe? In our small travellers hideaway in South Sulawesi/ Indonesia near Bira Beach it is still possible. The spacious bungalows and the restaurant are set directly on the edge of a white sand palmbeach. The resort lies separated from cities and other resorts on the right tip of the south coast of Sulawesi. So everything is designed for a relaxing holiday. But of course the resort also offers enough opportunities for adventures or cultural impressions.Sulawesi is renowned for its amazing diving places and marine bio diversity. In the interior of the island you can visit with us the villages of the Toraja with their famous funeral rites. ... more   less
