Basement rooms are horrible. No toiletries, no air conditioning, no ventilation, no windows. Need to leave hallway door open to cool room. Room 10 by 10. Wi-fi did not work most of the night, they had to reset the router, no soap to wash your hands. Very disappointing. They told me they were going to move me but then they said they have no rooms left. Grrrr!

Long Lac is not very big and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Four Winds Hotel! Rooms are large and with the exception of no in room coffee maker or microwave, everything else was of top quality. Coffee, juice and muffins etc were available in the morning. Being on the 3rd floor, we appreciated the elevator. They have a surveillance system and a 24 hour desk so we felt safe in leaving our bikes on the back of our vehicle. However be aware that if you arrive in Long Lac on a Sunday night you better have something with you to eat!! We were disappointed that the Pizzaria was closed since on its website it said it was open. There is nothing else so hungry people beware!! As for the hotel, we would definitely stay here again.

We booked into the Four Winds after a long day of traveling with the kids. The missus at the front desk was very friendly, helpful and seemed to be able to answer the kids 350 questions. Room on the third was large and clean with individual heat and air conditioning unit. For less than half of what we paid in Oshawa the night before, the room was better and parking was 5 folds better. Will definitely stay here again.

The photos really say it all. Photos are of room 202, which is excellent for anyone in a wheelchair or handicapped. Room has a fridge, and free high speed internet. Friendly staff, breakfast included, which opens at 6am. 👍🏻
You won’t be disappointed with this as your choice. Restaurants close by, and a coffee shop right across the street.

Booked a night here as a stop over, looked good enough from their website and there really isn't a lot of choices this far north. I am always hesitant and usually avoid these small independent hotels and prefer the known Hiltons and such of the world.

What a great surprise here, this was the total opposite of what I've come to expect form independents. The check in was very smooth and the service was great.

The room seemed to be recently renovated (as pictured on their website) and was very clean. The best was the bed. We weren't sure about the bed at first and it was very free flowing (not sure how to describe it really). It was probably one of the most comfortable beds we've slept on. The curtains also worked as they should and blacked out the room. Had a great night's sleep.

Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area.

I wasn't expecting much from a small independent motel in northern Ontario, usually there is not much choice, but I was pleasantly surprised by this place. This is a great little spot for a nice vacation stay. It was clean, comfortable, and attractively decorated with large rooms.

King room, had the most easy to use and heating/ac unit in any hotel I have used. It was a great continental breakfast and everything was very clean. No bad comments about this motel. Check in was easy, staff polite and informative

Totally unexpected experience from such a small town. I felt like I was in a big city. Beautiful large room, extremely clean and quiet. Very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. A nice welcome at check in from Francine. Wonderful but simple breakfast. Lots of parking. Would come here again.

Traveling along on Highway 11 and having no reservations for a room, I looked up the reviews on tripadvisor and decided to take a chance.
I am so glad that I did. The room was a bit more than I was hoping to spend, but it is summer in northern Ontario.
I obtained a room on the second floor and was immediately blown away. Wow! Newly renovated, it was terrific. King size bed, comfortable and quiet. A room like this in a larger town would be double the price, probably three times in a city such as Toronto.
Service at check in was great. Continental breakfast was included.
There is not much in the town itself, ate dinner at a small restaurant around the corner.
If up this way, make this your spot to stay.

This for the most part is a nice hotel. The rooms are large ans spacious. The shower was nice. The TV has mostly french stations which was a bummer. The wifi was fast. Parking is limited. Being right beside the highway, I thought it would be noisy. I did not hear the traffic at all. Being on the third floor, to get ice, you have to take the elevator to the first floor, then walk down a flight of steps to the basement. Not impressed with that. As for the free continental breakfast, it is basicly toast and cereal. The bed and pillows were comfortable. This is my usual first night stop when travelling east on highway 11.
