A review of the pub food, not the hotel accommodation. Meeting friends for lunch on a grey and damp weekday, our spirits lifted as we were immediately greeted by the landlord and led to a table in front of a blazing log fire. The inside of the pub is traditional, warm and welcoming, an ideal place to be at this...

Nine of us sat down to Sunday lunch, having pre-booked by telephone. A warm welcome from mine host Dean, and Libby, our smiling waitress. Terrific food: starters, main course and desserts. All served piping hot, with Libby catering for our every need. Friendly service - terrific food - outstanding!

A brilliant family pub. The carvery which you can have on either a Sunday oroast Friday! Is amazing, freshly cooked, lots of choice of veg and meat. Highly recommended. The staff are lovely and friendly and are super friendly and helpful with young children. Cannot fault anything.

Stayed for one night in a Premium Double. Not sure what made it 'premium' but it was OK. Comfortable bed, quiet and clean if a little shabby. Pub food was good - good pub food. Breakfast seemed to be all deep-fried and really not so great....but ok. All things considered, it was 'ok to good'. I wouldn't go out of...

Greeting - perfectly welcoming and approachable lady took us to our room. Room- reasonably sized with a double bed, side drawers, dressing table & wardrobe. Bathroom with shower, (hair dryer supplied). Tea, coffee & biscuits were provided in room which was a nice touch. Food- fantastic evening meal from the waiters & waitresses who served us to the food, all...

We visited last night for a family members birthday and it was fantastic. Lovely traditional pub inside (outside would be beautiful in slightly warmer weather too). They were very accommodating when I wanted to change things on my order and the meal itself was lovely. One member of our party was vegetarian and it was clear they had put thought...

We stayed at The Hunter's Moon for four nights in early September 2016. We were offered a choice of rooms: one opening onto the beer garden , which was light and airy but a bit too small for two adults and two dogs; and a dimmer but quite spacious room (No. 6) at the back. It had a 6ft x...

We called at 8pm to book and were told by a woman that the restaurant was full. After some probing, we were told that we could sit outside if we could find a place and that last orders was at 8.45pm. We said that we were prepared to come and chance a table. We arrived at 8.30, found a table...

We stayed next door in the White Horse holiday place and ventured here with our children for 2 meals on separate days. Staff were so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Both Children loved the cheesy chips. Curry night was fabulous. Best curry we've tasted and an excellent Vegetarian option too. Will definitely pop in again if in the...

This is a review for the pub, rather than the B&B. This is a lovely pub that is extremely welcoming (including to dogs). The landlord and serving staff were very friendly and the place is run well. The lager was ice cold and the food delicious, as well as reasonably priced. The food was tasty and generous.Book a table if...
