Detailed Reviews
So we are searching for a brunch as we skipped breakfast. So we ended in this small place called Borden in Saskatchewan just beside the highway 16 to Edmonton. The decor is from the past. And thet have pac-man and streetfighter 2 arcade to entertain the kids. The staff is very friendly.
As brunch we ordered pulled pork poutine. We never had that delicious brunch with a cup pf coffee.
Enough said just visit it!

Stopped for a late lunch on our roadtrip, due purely to location. We ordered four different meals and all of them were amazing (burgers, salads & beef dip). Very interesting decor & friendly service.
Took a quick tour of the rooms -- if you are looking for an eclectic experience with clean accommodations, this is the place for you. Will most definitely be back repeatedly!

My boyfriend and I needed a getaway and were finding it difficult to find time in our busy schedules to do just that. He surprised me late in the week with the exclamation that we were going to Borden for a one night stay.
I couldn't have been MORE pleased with the ambiance when we arrived. Extremely professional and friendly staff/owners, warm and inviting bar atmosphere and then we toured the rooms upstairs.
The suites are tastefully redecorated and the attention to detail was astounding. From chocolates on the towels that overhung the beautiful claw foot tub, the beautiful matching tapestry on the bed and windows and the electric fireplace that was already lit for us when we checked it, we found ourselves "back in time" and couldn't wait to kick off our shoes and enjoy.
We also enjoyed a meal downstairs and though the menu wasn't extensive, we found it to contain just about everything one could ask for. When the meal arrived it was astounding! They have numerous homeade food items to choose from as well as some very tasty cocktail beverages (again, their own creations) which were fantastic!
Only a short, pleasant drive from Saskatoon, this is definitely a beautiful little way to spend a weekend or even just one evening when you need to get away from it all.
We will definitely be back!
Thank you!

Don't let the scruffy exterior make you drive past, the Model-T Bar and Grill (and hotel) is being nicely renovated on the inside. The owners have made the bar and restaurant comfortable and attractive and keep them very clean.
The suites are unique with bath tubs and cleverly shielded toilets.
The grill menu is basically burgers and fries. They are reasonably priced and carefully cooked. The day we were there the desserts were best avoided.
This is a good place to stop for a beer or quick lunch as long as you have reasonable expectations of the sophistication of the menu.

A friend had told me that there was new owners of the Borden hotel and when in the area I should check out the dining room because the food was quite good. So on the way home from camping we did just that and got more than an excellent lunch. The hospitality from Tony right from the start was warm, relaxing and made you feel at home. After lunch I snooped around a bit in the bar and Tony showed us one of his pride and joys. An antique self playing piano , that he then played for us. The chef (Helen) then joined us and between the two of them received a little more history about the piano and hotel. Next time visit will be to rent a room to fully experience this little gem on the prairies. Thank you for saving a piece of our history and I love the 20's ,30's style that you are going with !

Rode out with a few friends to experience this place. Service and food were ok... Basic items on the menu, nothing fancy. Rode out a week later to give this place another try but, it was closed due to the interac machine being down.

Wonderful ambiance, DELICIOUS home-made food, outstanding service! Absolutely enchanted by our visit! Love the nostalgic decorations, very well set tables. They do NOT give free drink refills of soda/ pop, however. (They do of water and tea.)
