Had lunch here with friends on a recent Saturday. The atmosphere is convivial and the service very good. A reasonable range of beers. The food was quite good with one exception - the Toad in the hole. The peas were not mushy and the pastry was the consistency of rubber. Get one of the other menu options. The other negative...

Mother in law visiting from overseas so decided to treat her to a little taste from home. They offered a Yorkshire pudding filled with veggies( never seen pumpkin on a English Sunday roast before) the Yorkshire pudding obviously didn't rise in the oven and instead of being light and fluffy was stodgy and hard. The mash and meat were ok,...

This was not my first visit here. I came many years ago when the original owner/builder ran it. It was excellent then and, fortunately, still is. The menu is varied, obviously the accent on English fare. There is a wide variety of English beers as well, and a good choice of wines. The food was of good quality. Perhaps there...

We visited the Fox & Hounds at Lunch time and decided to order Lunch , We were shown to a table for 2 and perused the Menu. I decided on the Cod & Chips . My Wife was undecided but the Waiter spent some time assisting with her choice , offering to change some menu items to suit her tastes...

Fox and Hounds, top spot. Food is great and an extensive menu. I have had a few meals here now and have never been disappointed. The bar, awesome, beers are great, cocktails are a delight. The staff are spot on, very friendly and ensure you have a great time. Whether it's having a beer in the beer garden on a...

A modern building housing a traditional English pub décor, imported from England from a hotel that had closed down there. We read about this hotel while we were living in England. Fun place to visit with very friendly staff. Lunch was excellent and the portions are large, so you do not need to order an entre' unless you are very...

We went for dinner at this Inn on a Saturday night which happened to coincide with the Gold Coast Acoustic group holding their monthly(?) jam session in the outside undercover area. Was a great opportunity to go outside and listen to some great free music. We enjoyed our meals. The fish was excellent and the pork belly was ok but...

Took my Aunty from New Zealand for a long drive to have scones at the fox and Hound Country Inn. The scones are soft and fresh, nothing wrong with the scones, but icing sugar allover the plate like it snowed, and as a result on my clothes. Dust the scone first, then with love put the dusted scone on the...

Love the outside decor with the Queen her pups and the telephone box. Awesome indoor decor being and English pub. So it's 5 out of 5 before you eat the awesome food. A little pricey but good food. Food does not come out quickly so it's nice not to feel rushed, you can sip on your wine and enjoy the...

Four of us visited the Fox and Hounds last evening, we’d not been there since our disappointing visit some time ago... New owners have made changes to the better... The car park was FULL.. a good sign perhaps, entering the pub, we announced our arrival to a staff member and were shown to our (booked) table. At first I felt...
