Definitely not plush accommodations, "resort" is a little bit of a misnomer. But location is convenient for day dive trips to Poor Knights. Rooms were very spacious, and modestly clean. Seems a bit outdated, but comfortable. We stayed one night; staff was indifferent. Pool was cold by April. It does offer beautiful views of the marina, with a grocery on...

We rented the family garden room which is the last room at the end. Below is a Gym and Aeroboics. We could get passed the clanging of people dropping the weights machines, but being woken up at 8:30am (on holiday some people like to sleep in) to Techno music and hearing the instructor shoting "wohoo one more time" was aggravating....

We went to the Oceans for a light lunch and drinks. Always good to start on a positive note. We arrive, chose a table and was given menus. From that point the service stopped. We waited 15 minutes for someone to take our order. No one came, it wasn't busy, so I went to ask for our order to be...

The room is very generous in size and clean. The location is great as it's near the marina and dive shop. Price is reasonable. Dining options are all within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel cafe has decent breakfast options and the staff was quite pleasant and accomodating.

Great location, being right at the Marina. We booked a marina view room with balcony. Ask for room 328. Well worth it. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Great service, value for money and staff were very friendly. Only slight issue was the amount of mozzies in the room, very bizarre. Will be back definitely.

Hotel was more like a 5 star. Studio room was very spacious, clean and a felt very relaxing. A fantastic view over the marina/harbour which was just across the road. Room was serviced daily and housekeeping excellent. Staff, especially the receptionists, were very friendly and helpful going the extra mile to give information on the area. Shops and restaurants all...

Comfortable spacious room. I had the cheaper option at the back rather than looking over the marina, so not the best of views. The drabness of the long corridor is enlivened by some lovely local prints, some for sale. I didn't think much of the decor but was very comfortable. Fridge and tea /coffee provided, free wifi, tv, air-con. Reasonably...

Here is an example where a 3.5 would be more accurate but for it's location where there are no other real option for a hotel stay the Oceans Tutukaka offers decent services in a clean and secure environment. We enjoyed having a room with balcony. Fans were ok but AC would have been appreciated.

This hotel had it all! Brilliant location close to the marina and in a strip of nice ice cream shops, bars and a dairy. The outside of the building looked very cool and bright - it was quite inviting. The building as a whole seemed like a fancy expensive Auckland hotel, but for the price we paid we were very...

I was only in town for one night, but the hotel is in a convenient location and is relatively inexpensive. The rooms are a little outdated, but are very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Its a great place to stay for people heading out on one of the boats or as a base to tour the local towns/beaches. However there isn't...
