We had been out for the morning and were passing the Restaurant just before midday.
My husband had eaten here before and said it was wonderful. We were the first in and the young man asked if we wanted to stay inside or go on the terrace. We opted for outside. We were served all lunchtime by a delightful lady who spoke English too. We decided on the lunch menu. 16 euros for 4 courses. The food was wonderful, piping hot soup followed by a plate of cold meats with fresh bread. Then followed beef on skewers or fish. Then a cheese course and I went for the pineapple and ice cream. We had a half carafe of white house wine with the first 2 courses and a half carafe of red with the main course. I had a coffee and the bill totaled 52.60 euros. The Restaurant also offers a variety of menus going up to 40 euros per person. They also have a good wine list going from the half litres at 9 euros up to 300 euros for a bottle of Margaux. I can recommend this restaurant highly.

We spent 4 nights here chilling out in the middle of a motorbike trip round France and had a lovely relaxing time. We had the pool to ourselves most afternoons but its not heated so you have to be brave even in August!

Our hosts couldn't do enough for us, from allowing us to use their garage for the bike to washing and drying a bag of clothes for us, they were great.

We slept in one morning and missed breakfast so when we were out on the terrace at 11.30ish using the computer, my husband asked if we could have a cup of tea and they brought us breakfast!

The staff were lovely too and a credit to the owners of this small hotel.

The rooms are perhaps a little basic but they were clean and for 52 euros a night including breakfast a bargain.

Oh and eat in the restaurant. An absolute gem. Delicious food, great service and very reasonably priced.

Thank DianeWestYorks
