We stayed here one night for a charity swimming event in the lake from resort to pulau org utan.
1. the pulau org utan is interesting and handled by good staff who knows her stuff.
2. staff is friendly except a reception staff
Had 2 nights stay at Bukit merah lake view semi-d resort. Surrounding area and houses are not maintain properly. Very scary, no road light, and many abandoned houses.

Went for 3days course. Room average clean. Slow wifi. Air conditioner working well. Water heater not working since check in until check out. Location is just outside Water Merah Laketown Park entrance. Not really recommended unless you have money a lot to spend.
