We stayed at Flora Bora for five nights last week and it was amazing. It is truly a very special place that is unlike anything else we have ever experienced. From the very first email that I sent to Karen to the messages after we left our yurt the last day it was all so effortless for us. I can't imagine all of the work that Karen goes to, to make this place so perfect. She is so very patient and very kind. I asked her so many questions and she was so quick to respond with so much detail. We really didn't have to bring much of anything. All the bedding is included, the bath towels and cloths, the dishes, the cookware, the silverware, the other utensils, even salt and pepper, coffee, sugar, and more. We didn't even have to bring any soap because not only were there shampoos, conditioners, body soap, dish soap, and even calming spray included, they were all full size luxury brands. They were wonderful. The shower was wonderful!!! My daughter has a lot of allergies so I was concerned when I saw that the bedding and pillows were down filled so I asked Karen if there was a regular option though I thought there wouldn't be but there was!!! She replaced it all so that we could be comfortable and I didn't need to bring my own. There were also so many extra pillows and blankets to keep us nice and warm which was great because the weather was surprisingly cool. That was ok though because there were even built in little heaters near the bed and in the bathroom and they gave out a surprising amount of heat. So on top of all of the items provided in the yurt which I forgot to mention that there is a cook top and a full sized fridge with a freezer in the yurt, there is also a nice big BBQ on the big deck attached to the yurt. Karen provides the propane and lighters and also mosquito coils to keep them away. There is also a secluded fire pit of your own with four nice chairs and you have a hammock as an option too. They don't provide the firewood but she has a guy that delivers it for you if you would like for only $10 for a nice sized bundle. Also Flora Bora has a nice sized lake that you can bring your kayak or canoe to BUT if you don't have those they have a canoe for you to use for free along with life jackets for the family!!! My husband and kids enjoyed canoeing and it was the kids first time on a canoe so it was quite an experience for them. If you want to venture out of Flora Bora there is SO much to see and do there. When we got to the Yurts Karen and her wonderful two girls came to meet us at our vehicle with a wagon and helped us bring everything to our yurt. When we got inside her two girls took our kids to the lake to show them around and she went over the maps for the area with us. She asked us what we like to do and she gave us suggestions. It was like she read our minds because the suggestions were exactly what we were looking for even though we didn't necessarily know it yet!!! She told us about a hike called Narrows Pininsula Trail in Prince Albert National Park. It is about 3 KM's. It was incredible. I very strongly recommend that hike!!! We went to Waskesieu and we found an awesome beach called Birch Bay. It was small and beautiful. It has fire pits, cook tops, and stoves right at the water. The firewood is free throughout the Park which is great. We saw a bear, lots of deer including some babies, a fox, and a couple wood peckers. For the most part we bought groceries and just ate at the yurt cause it was so nice to sit outside and eat and it saves a lot of money. We just shopped in PA at Save On which was a cheaper option but there were some other really nice local grocery stores too they were just a little too pricey for us. The one she suggested was Ambroses which is really close to the yurt. We didn't buy much at the grocery store which also had alcohol for sale for anyone interested but right beside it there is an ice cream/candy store that is awesome and even sells Clearly Canadian drinks which I love. I definitely recommend checking it out and in Waskesieu there is an awesome ice cream shoppe called Big Olaf. We went there twice. So yummy. The waffle cones are delicious. I could probably sit and write a novel on how wonderful Flora Bora is but you just need to go and experience it yourself. You will not be disappointed!!!

Chicken soup for the heart, mind, and soul. Thats what Flora Bora was for us. Beautiful well appointed yurts that make you feel both rustic and pampered at the same time. We wanted for nothing, except maybe a hammock... we saw one of the other yurts had a hammock and we were jealous. But other than that, we felt comfy, warm, cozy and safe there. There were bundles of wood to be had, and private firepit areas for each of the 3 available yurts. We felt like we had total privacy, even though the other yurts are very close. On a hot day/eve you may want to have an extra fan along as the table fan just didn't cut it for us at night, but with a floor fan along, and an open yurt window, we were just fine. The Sasktel wifi service that we had (of our own) worked for the most part, but downloading or streaming was out of the question. Good enough for checking emails, and checking in at home. Our host Karen and family were wonderful and we felt very welcomed. We will certainly be back.

We stayed three nights at the Betty Yurt and could not have been more relaxed and comfortable. Karen met us in the pouring rain with the warmest of smiles and a pair of rubber boots! How personal is that?! Cannot wait to return.

What a hidden gem! My husband and I traveled up from Regina (about 4 hours) to relax at Flora Bora in early October. It rained for the entire day we arrived but it ended up being great - the sound of the rain on the canvas while in a cozy bed reading a book could not be more relaxing! We stayed in Betty's Abode - there are two yurts to choose from and I imagine the other is just as nice! The amenities in the yurt were amazing - you can tell they thought of everything. Hair dryer, bottle opener, wine glasses, towels, bath robes, salt/pepper, board games, hammock, frying pan, BBQ utensils, cutting board, washing up soap, scissors, etc. There's nothing you'll need if you bring your own food and want to cook! We made great dinners and breakfasts and although we had to do the dishes, it was luxury camping at its best! The following day it stopped raining and we took a beautiful drive through parts of Prince Albert National Park - Karen recommended Height Of Lands and Boundary Bog - they were both beautiful and even though I have knee problems I was able to ascend the tower at Height Of Lands and walk the flat terrain of Boundary Bog trail. We didn't get to BBQ unfortunately but there was a gorgeous deck with comfy Adirondack chairs attached to the yurt too. They even have a canoe you can borrow to paddle around the lake as well as a firepit to enjoy when the weather is nice. We definitely plan to return, hopefully with another couple next summer - you could have the place to yourself if you rented both yurts!

What a lovely treat this place is.....we recently spent a couple nights and wished we could have stayed longer....the yurts are beautiful and clean and well appointed....there is no TV, no wifi, no phone....it really is a place to get away from it all.....Karen is a welcoming hostess, and Tally and Coco are polite and charming visitors.......
