This is the first time we have written something about a place we visited but we would really like to share our splendid experience in the B&B “Tranquillity Lodge” with all the people who are thinking of spending their holidays in New Zealand’s South Island and particularly in the Queenstown area. We are not going to write a detailed description...

My husband and I were on our honeymoon in South Island and stayed here for a night which was too short, had we known that Kingston was so much lovelier than queenstown and that there were nature walks etc. The scenery was truly amazing and our room had waterfront views (just one minute walk to the water's edge). We used...

If you love to have a quiet place with nature around you and no bothering tourists then this is the best place to stay in the vicinity of Queenstown. Margaret and Peter are really great hosts. We had a lot of interesting talks with them either in the evenings or in the mornings, while having breakfast. Not to forget the...

We spent two nights in Kingston and enjoyed every minute. While Kingston is removed from the bustle of Queenstown, there was plenty to do for our two night stay. Peter and Margaret were excellent hosts who provided us with our every need; food, local advice, kayaks to explore the beautiful lake and a delightful hot tub in which to soak...

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon as we headed South and the only thing I can say against it is that I wish we had longer. Margaret and Peter are just the best hosts and were around if you wanted a chat and a giggle over a glass of something, but were also quite happy to let...

This is truly a gem of a place to stay. We wanted somewhere to escape to at New Years that was close to Queenstown but away from the crowded drunken party scene. We were lucky to find Tranquillity Lodge, set beside the Remarkables on a picturesque lake with stunning views. Peter and Margaret were incredible hosts, making us feel like...

Can recommend the pub at the end of the beach in the train station for some real Kiwi hospitality and food! If anyone wants a great location and...

We had the fun of Queenstown and the pure bliss of Tranquility Lodge Kingston. Margaret and Peter were the most wonderful, hospitable and friendly hosts who went that extra mile to make our stay very special. Wonderful breakfasts, wine and canapes in the evening to ease us into relaxation in the hot tub overlooking the beautiful lake and mountains. Practical...
