This lovely new hotel is composed of casitas scattered on the land of a restored henequin (sisal) plantation south of Merida. There is a huge, beautiful pool, excellent food, and friendly staff. The price includes dinner, breakfast, and an interesting three-hour tour of the restored plantation including a swim in a pretty cenote.

I just got back from a week at Sotuta de Peon Village Resort, located in the heart of the Yucatan's Mayan World. 30 minutes from Downtown Merida makes it the perfect location to be able to relax completely and have access to visit all the Maya arqueological sites through the Yucatan Peninsula.
