Beautiful, well-kept facility, which is managed with great attention to detail, on the banks of the Drôme. The renovated house is located in the fields away from any street noise. The 11 rooms and the restaurant are located around a beautiful courtyard. The different and charmingly furnished rooms are simple, functional and well-kept. The owners place great value on hospitality and have a knack for the needs of a wide variety of customers. Many thanks to the management team Zimi and Reno. Local products, whether from the local market or directly from the beautiful garden, are trump cards and taste excellent. We felt welcome in the comfortably furnished breakfast room. Unfortunately, no buffet was set up at Covid-19, but we were spoiled with fresh and beautiful delicacies. The extensive garden with the beautiful benches in many different niches invites you to pause and linger. The small and fine pool landscape is impressive; it impresses with clean water and comfortable and modern loungers. Well-tended saplings and shrubs provide privacy where desired. We felt very comfortable in this oasis of relaxation and we would love to come back. The hotel restaurant in the Auberge courtyard serves a very good dinner at a fair price.…
This place is an oasis in the desert, a haven of peace. The old stones and the harmony of the decor invite us to rest. I had a warm welcome and the room was very comfortable. I really enjoy my stay. Thanks
We stop here on most of our trips south. Charming peaceful place with adequately comfortable rooms and an attractive pool. Nice people running it. It is in a very beautiful setting among the fields not far from the river, with a backdrop of mountains. The restaurant is run separately and is fully priced and with incredibly slow service. Food very good but we found the service so slow we got irritated and it spoilt the evening! There are plenty of pasta/pizza local French restaurants in Crest. Breakfast is excellent and peaceful, run by the wife of the hotel owner. Take precautionary action against mozzis in the rooms at night.
Auberge la Plaine offers you everything you need for a relaxing stay in a charming and tastefully renovated building with a stylish interior and surrounded by a huge and beautiful garden. You can wander around and discover different fruits and olive trees (the jam for breakfast is home-made and the best I‘ve ever had!!), a vegetable garden, a pond, a pool and there is even direct access to the river (Drôme) from the garden! The Auberge is a family business and now led by three young super friendly Swiss people, two of them brother and sister who took it over from their father. They put all their heart in it and you can really feel, taste and see it.
This small hotel (with about 12 rooms) is located out in the countryside, off the motorway and N7 just south of Valence. The rooms are large and beautifully furnished and the views around the property is very nice with a large garden, and close location to the Drome River and natural park. The couple who run the place are very nice and helpful. They speak very good English. On the site there is a nice independently run resturant that serves nicely made evening meals. It is very easy to feel relaxed and comfortable while staying there.
