Great to get to Mereworth after a long journey from France. Bedroom spotless and very well appointed - enormous bed! Very warm welcome from hosts who had booked us a table for supper at the local pub where we had a good meal in authentic surroundings. Terrific breakfast and lots of local knowledge shared on what to see and how...

A group of four of us (two couples) stayed at Mereworth House for a wedding one weekend in June 2014. When we arrived we were all impressed by the beautiful countryside and, combined with the incredibly warm welcome we received, we knew we had chosen a great B&B. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and the following morning we...

From the booking process to signing the guest book, Mereworth House was everything I hope for in a B&B. Flexible to accommodate our arrival time (we needed to get ready for a wedding), welcomed with some freshly made elderflower squash, immaculate rooms and a fantastic breakfast (just what was required post-wedding...). The hosts were most welcoming throughout and it is...

A lovely stay with very warm and welcoming hosts. Rooms were spotless and very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. And we loved Tarka the Spaniel! Will definitely come back if we're ever in the area.

Great, easy, relaxed hospitality in a comfortable home set in stunning countryside. I would recommend Mereworth to anyone looking to enjoy the area. Note that the pub 100m away is excellent and serves tasty and elegant food.

I arrived early and was greeted with a pot of tea. Ann told us all the things we could visit during our stay and even lent us an ordnance map of the area so we wouldn't miss anything which was very good of her. Breakfast was great which we had in the conservatory overlooking the garden. We were even entertained...

I would echo comments made below. All are correct, apart from one suggestion that the house is in Somerset. It's in a lovely part of the UK, and its owners are lovely and generous hosts, while also having the professionalism that is occasionally necessary. It is impossible that a sentient human could fail to enjoy a stay at Mereworth.

My wife and I and our 18 month-old boy stayed with Ann and Philip for two nights and we had a really lovely time. Nothing was too much for them. They babysat after our son while we went for dinner in the excellent local pub called The Foresters, which they organised. Our bed was nice and big, their breakfasts were...

Friend and I went back in February for another workshop in the area and again were made to feel really welcome and spoilt. This time hot porridge for breakfast with cream, a treat to send us off for a days work.
