Went to Pear Tree Farm for one night only and we were welcomed by owners like their very best friends! Clean and character fully styled bedroom and big bathroom! Food was locally sourced and really fantastic! A superb 3 course dinner and lovely wine. Steve and Jill really love what tey are doing and staying there is an absolute pleasure!

I wanted to enjoy a lovely foodie weekend in Ludlow, Shropshire so I started browsing Trip Advisor, to find a place to stay. Fortunately I was familiar with the area and knew that Wigmore was a mere 7 miles away from the town. I read the universally glowing reviews for PTF and found not only could I indulge my inner...

Pear Tree Farm is, without doubt, one of our best B&B experiences. It is difficult to recommend it highly enough. The other recent reviews provide an excellent (and entirely accurate) picture of a rural idyll on the outskirts of Wigmore village whose fascinating castle and chapel are worth the visit in their own right. Pear Tree is also a lovely...

Having spent the weekend at Peartree Farm I can definitely recommend it as a wonderful place to stay. After the long drive up from London Jill and Steve welcomed us into their home with a lovely afternoon tea of gorgeous homemade cake with coffee/tea. We decided to eat in the first evening and had a truly delicious meal of fresh...

I don't often write reviews as I usually have something to grumble about but one would be mistaken to think that this is just another 'B&B', just another 'place to stay' it really is as Alistair Sawday names a 'Special Place to Stay'. Pear Tree is a house full of character. Perfect for idyllic Winter ventures with it's grand dining...

Have just spent another lovely weekend at Pear Tree Farm, about my fifth visit with my four friends (and it was my birthday and I was very spoilt), and it didn't disappoint! We had the house to ourselves and it feels like a home away from home, without the cooking .... As always Jill and Steve were brilliant hosts, the...

This was our 6th year staying at PTF, which sums up how much we enjoy our stay, in fact this year we added an extra day. It is far better than home from home, a warm welcome, afternoon tea with homemade cake, delicious dinners and hearty breakfasts all using local produce. I look forward every year to Steve's recipe for...

This is quite simply the best B&B we've ever stayed at. Jill and Steve are perfect hosts and we were spoilt the entire time we were there. Afternoon tea each day, delicious breakfasts and rooms that are spotless and full of character plus a good supply of DVD's, books and CD's!

We booked without reading Trip Advisor reviews (having found them inaccurate in the past). However in this case we have to concur with the other 22 'excellent' reviews. Steve and Jill are fabulous hosts, nothing is too much trouble. Attentive, whilst blending into the background - how do they do that? Be sure to have a t least one meal...
