Alberto (owner) and his mother were fantastic hosts. Personable, helpful, very kind, and fun to talk to. Alberto gave me great recommendations for trekking paths, restaurants, and navigating the village. The public spaces in the house were absolutely beautiful— the house has been in their family for 5 generations so there are historical photos and a beautiful historic feel to the decor. I ate breakfast on the terrace with a view of Pacentro and the mountains— this was paradise! My room was beautifully decorated, very clean, comfortable, and with a updated/modern bathroom. Pacentro is a magical village for a visit, and this is THE best place to stay! I’d love to return to Pacentro I will definitely stay here again!
We loved Pacentro and this B&B! We spent 4 nights at the end of April/beginning of May and loved it! The town is a beautifully preserved medieval town without blockbuster sites so few foreign tourists but with enormous charm. The B&B was lovely—very clean and well appointed, mountainside views, and lovely breakfasts on the terrace! The house has been in the family since the 1800s. Alberto, the host, is extremely welcoming and helpful with ideas about day trips. And to top off pleasurable experience, 2 great restaurants within a very short distance.
The accommodations were everything you see in the photos. Alberto and his mom were truly super hosts! The house was immaculately kept, the food was outstanding, delicious and more than plentiful! We enjoyed the morning view of the mountains and town just off to the left. Alberto provided me with great options for eating out in the evening and directions. I particularly loved that their home was full of local history; 5 generations of history to be exact. Rooms were tastefully appointed and very clean. Clean, friendly, generous with their time, assistance and food.
In September 2020 we got married in Pacentro. Our family stayed at B&B In Centro a Pacentro. Alberto Cercone and his mother were wonderful hosts, who made us all feel welcome and relaxed. Their house must have been over run by people coming back and forth with the wedding planning happening, so we very much appreciated their kind hospitality. The rooms were very comfortable and we very much enjoyed the dining room and balcony looking over the views. We traveled from New Zealand to Pacentro, and would highly recommend this B&B to any future travelers to the beautiful village of Pacentro.
We stayed at this lovely B&B in the centre of the charming town of Pacentro for three nights, I wish we could have stayed longer. The B&B is very comfortable and very clean. The hosts, Alberto and his Mother are very friendly, helpful and justifiably proud of their B&B. The mountain views from the rooms and breakfast terrace at the rear of the property are great. And I can't forget to mention the breakfasts prepared by Alberto's Mother which are great, plenty of variety to choose from and delicious. All in all we can highly recommend this B&B.
This special B&B is a destination in itself. Our hosts, Alberto and his mother, were warm, friendly, and knowledgeable about their town. The breakfast was delicious and freshly made with local ingredients. The view is spectacular and truly panoramic, especially from the wonderful balcony. Alberto helped us with arranging dinner reservations and sightseeing. Pristine rooms and facility, everything was exceptionally clean. We stayed in the "panoramic" room and it lived up to its name. This B&B is in a historic building with beautifully decorated interiors and a perfect location in the center. By the end of our stay, we felt that our host were our friends and we did not want to leave. I would recommend to anyone vacationing in Italy that they make time to come to this very special place. 10/10 in all categories. We will come back.…
I absolutely love this BnB. Albert is very friendly, the rooms were clean, and breakfast was great. The view was spectacular and the space was right in the center of the Piazza next door to the Bakery, cafe, and Pizzerias. I will always plan to stay here in my future visits! I would highly recommend also as Albert is fluent in English and can help tourists as the entire town is not very well fluent. I appreciate everything! Thank you!
I couldn't be happier with my stay in Pacentro. The place was magical. The location couldn't be better; I could spend hours walking through mazes of cobblestone-lined medieval architecture, and the local restaurants were delicious. Alberto picked me up and dropped me off from the main train station in Sulmona (for a fee), and was accommodating with his schedule. His mother was such a sweetheart, and you can tell she just really wants to make you happy -- especially during breakfast. It's a very small town, but that's what you go there for. The town comes alive at night, but it's VERY quiet during bedtime (especially in the mountain view room). Do not forgot to visit Luigi's, a bar and cafe at the nearby park overlooking hills and mountains and nearby towns. I hope to visit again sometime soon!…
My husband and I had the pleasure of spending 5 nights in Pacentro this past august. We hesitated between bigger and busier Sulmona and cute and quaint Pacentro. Within 5 minutes of arriving in Pacentro we were unequivocally happy with our decision. Our pleasure was doubled once we settled into Alberto's family home come B&B. Perfectly located, exceptionally clean and extremely comfortable, B&B In Centro proved to be the perfect place to lay our tuckered heads after days spent galavanting through Italy's best kept secret, Abruzzo. Mornings were started off with a fabulous breakfast prepped by Alberto himself and his lovely mom. When the weather isn't too hot you can sit on their spacious patio with a fabulous view of the town. And after spending the day hiking and eating our way through the region, we were happy to tumble into our spacious and very comfortable bed. Alberto is also very knowledgeable about the region and can provide up to date info needed for exploring the region. He also is well connected to the various restaurants in the town and won't hesitate to book his guests a choice table. Our fave ended up being Ristorante Pizzeria Majella, a stone's throw from the B&B. Do NOT hesitate to base yourself in Pacentro and at Alberto's B&B. We were so enamored of the town we've started to consider buying real estate there! Grazie!!…
alberto and his mom are the perfect host, very polite and helpful, the location is right on the main road in town next to Ernesto's bar, we have stayed here 4 years in a row and will always come back, they have a complimentary breakfast in the morning, view on the terrace is amazing, and also has a great view of the new zip line..( ciao alberto Fred O. )
