Detailed Reviews
Beacon Hall House is a wonderful place to stay . Julie is a super host and simply can’t do enough for you . The rooms are super comfortable and sparkling clean. Our room, ‘Hebe’ had a huge luxurious bathroom and a superking sized bed. Coffee and tea selection plus fresh milk provided in the room, including a nespresso machine . Breakfast was delicious with home made granola, freshly baked banana bread , yoghurt, fruit and a cooked to order bespoke full English . The location is just fantastic for visiting the High Weald, Kent Coast and a myriad of local attractions. Dining options can be found in local villages or the larger nearby town of Tenterden, which is charming, with lots of independent shops and a wide choice of eateries . We attended a wedding on the Hole Park Estate , literally across the road. The grounds at Beacon Hall House are extensive and the heated pool and tennis court a lovely bonus .
We would highly recommend and would definitely return.
Many thanks Julie for your wonderful hospitality.

Stayed at Beacon Hall House for a weekend away with friends - an absolutely beautiful property and host Julie was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble! There were lots of lovely touches throughout (fresh flowers, fluffy White Company towels, REN toiletries etc etc) which really make this a stand out place to stay. Fantastic base location for exploring the local countryside and vineyards in the surrounding area. Would highly recommend and hope to be able to visit again in the future!

Dear Fiona, I am thrilled you had such a lovely time with us and what a great bunch of friends you were, such fun to have around and so nice to hear such laughter & chatter after difficult times - a real boost to the house! Little baby a delight to. Have a wonderful summer ahead and hope to see you all again one day, best Julie x

We stayed for three nights, having dinner cooked by Julie on one of them. This is one of the very best B&Bs we have ever visited, out of many all over the country. (actually I think it definitely IS the best!) Comfortable, quiet, relaxing; excellent breakfasts with delicious home made bread; the dinner was perfect and we were allowed to bring our own bottle.
The house has an interesting history and is set in glorious wooded country with walks all around, a choice of nice pubs and although being mid November a lot of things were closed there were still plenty of places to visit.
Our room (Hebe) was large and well lit; fresh flowers, a comfortable bed and a huge ensuite with everything you need.
Julie herself is a natural; kind and generous to the core. We were genuinely sad to leave, which says it all.

It was an excellent decision to choose this exceptional B&B. We chose a central location in Kent for our five-night stay, so we could explore all of Kent without changing our accommodation. Beacon Hall House is an attractive older house (with some interesting history), set in a large beautiful garden (I'd guess about two acres). Our room was charming and well appointed, with a very comfortable king-size bed, and an attractive view over the garden. Breakfasts were served in an elegant dining room, and were substantial, delicious and customised to our preferences, as were the dinners. Our hostess, Julie, was friendly and very helpful. We'd be very happy to go back there for another stay.

It hard to know what to add to all the existing 5-star reviews here about Beacon Hall House. It certainly is one of the best, if not the best, B&B we have ever had the pleasure to visit.
On a basic level, the delightful house is located in a very pretty location (with lots of interesting places to explore nearby), is very warm, comfortable and clean, with plenty of hot water.
However, what makes it so special is the very kind and attentive hosting one receives from Julie and Jonathan, the owners. Julie is also a superb cook, so breakfasts and her evening meals are marvellous. She also pays a lot of attention to detail which. of course, makes all the difference too.
I have no doubt we shall try to visit again when next in the area.

+1
I was another one of those who couldn't quite believe this place could live up to all the exceptional reviews, and yet it exceeded our expectations. Nothing quite compares to Beacon Hall House, it is by far the best B&B and one of the best accommodations I ever stayed in.
We were there for the Easter break and every day we would wake up to the most luxurious breakfasts, including fresh fruit, jams, marmalade, bread, home-cooked cakes and muffins, local cheese and if that isn't enough for you, Julie will whip up delicious cooked breakfasts. My partner and I are both vegetarians and Julie made us the tastiest brekkies with fresh veggies straight from her garden.
Our room was so peaceful, overlooking the luscious greenery and we really appreciated the little touches like fresh flowers, high quality bedding, White Company towels and home made biscuits on arrival.
Whether you just want to relax or if you want to be more active, Beacon Hall House is the perfect place - there are tons of footpaths basically on your doorstep, gardens, castles, amazing country pubs and wineries nearby. We were also able to play some tennis, as there's a tennis court on the property and you'll be provided with tennis rackets which was super fun.
Thanks Julie for spoiling us and for all the care you put in welcoming your guests - we hope we'll be back!

The enforced closure of this first class B&B because of Covid has not in any way led to a lowering of standards and it is still excellent in all respects. Julie's breakfasts are second to none with fresh fruit, bread and just-baked muffins, all beautifully presented. Our bedroom, Hebe, was spacious and very comfortable with fine linen and views out over the garden. It was a real pleasure to stay there and a must for anyone travelling or exploring down that way.

Dear Charles & SJ What a delight to read this review, it really is much appreciated and so pleased the weather was nice enough for you to enjoy a swim and relax in the garden. I hope you had a super trip to the New Forest following your stay with us and to say that it would be absolutely lovely to welcome you here again in the future and wish you both a healthy & jolly summer ahead, best Julie & Jonathan

I've stayed in many B&Bs through my work life and although this one was related to pleasure rather than business, it was the best one I've stayed in. The hosts are friendly, welcoming, attentive and nothing was ever too much trouble. Quite frankly, wonderful. We were welcomed and offered a glass of wine which was a lovely personal touch. The room we had was the smaller of the three and unfortunately the other two were booked. Our room was still spacious and the double bed was comfortable but being quite tall and a bed hogger I definitely suit a larger bed for next time I book. The view over the gardens was beautiful and was so quiet on the evenings. Breakfast was spot on. Fresh breads, local cherries, honey, marmalade and the full English were great. Even had time for a short game of tennis and a swim in the pool. If you're in the area I can't recommend this enough. I'm already trying to get my dates sorted for next year's race so I can book again.

Exquisite house and grounds with some lovely touches such as room flowers, Ren toiletries and excellent range of tea and coffees (Including a cafetière and espresso machine). Julie took great care to look after our every need whilst also allowing us space to enjoy the swimming pool and grounds. Breakfast in the garden was fabulous as was the supper Julie prepared on our second night.
Plenty to see and do in the local area although we struggled to stay away from Beacon Hall House for too long!
All in all it was a very special experience and would highly recommend to everyone.

We stayed at five different B&B's this trip and Beacon Hall House was overwhelmingly THE best. The room we had was spacious, beautifully furnished, and overlooked the lovely, lush gardens. The bathroom was just as nice with an electric heated towel rack and floors so we could turn it on and off as needed. These are some of the fine details that put this B& B above the rest for me: a warm and personable owner (Julie was such a delight!), fresh milk in our room for the evenings (with shortbread cookies), fresh flowers, everything spotlessly clean, high-quality linen, wonderful smelling bath products, homemade bread, perfectly cooked breakfasts, and wonderful grounds to enjoy. We could not have asked for more. Thank you, Julie for your warm and kind hospitality.
